'You' Season 4 Episode 3: What goes around, comes around as Joe gets stalked in the craziest way possible
Spoilers for 'YOU' Season 4 Episode 3
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The first two episodes of ‘YOU’ Season 4 have been riveting and with Malcolm (Stephen Hagan) and Simon Soo (Aidan Cheng) dead, things are getting more intense for Joe Goldberg. Besides all the killings, the murderer is also stalking Joe and tends to know everything about him. He barged inside his house and pinned every article about his victims on the wall, making Joe realize that he is in grave danger. If you have been watching the season closely, then you must have realized that Joe hasn’t replied much to the stalker and continues to remain silent. However, things change during the third episode because the stalker has forced him to finally reply.
After realizing that the killer knows about his real identity, Joe gets frustrated and is trying to tear up all the articles. But the stalker wants to frustrate Joe even more and messages of all the aforementioned articles about him. Joe loses his cool and messages that his name is Jonathan Moore. The killer asks him to tell the truth and of course, he didn’t tell him. He changes his locks so that no one comes in. Joe’s cell phone buzzes and his stalker is getting frustrated because he is ignoring his messages and not replying. Joe is tempted to reply, but he chooses to ignore it.

Cat's out of the bag as Malcolm's death becomes big news
However, things take a wild turn when the news of Malcolm’s death surfaces online and everyone is quite stunned. The news says that Malcolm’s severed finger was sent to the police along with a note saying “This is not a kidnapping. This is a MURDER.” Well, the killer has Joe’s attention now and he finally messages him. He wants Jonathan to admit that he is Joe Goldberg, but he knows that he can’t do that because he would have to face a lot of consequences. The stalker threatens him by saying that he still has Simon’s ear and he could make things worse by sending them to the police with a note saying “Jonathan Moore.”
Joe opens up a bit more and said if he had murdered those people, then he had no other choice and it was a life-or-death situation.
But things turn bad to worse for Joe because the police arrive at his door after Kate tells the police that Jonathan was the last person to see him alive. He tells the police officers everything about Simon Soo taking advantage of budding painters and their work. Joe also told that Malcolm was going to blackmail Simon for the entire situation.
Things get even more interesting when the stalker sends the message about the police coming to Joe’s house and he is paranoid now. The stalker’s real game begins now because he has told Joe to kill Kate as she is the real danger. Even when Joe tries to stay away, the stalker gets him frustrated by telling him things that are related to his past and making him believe that felt so amazing when he killed all of his victims.
Who killed Lady Phoebe's bodyguard?
The episode ends on an extraordinary note. Joe follows Kate to the place where Malcolm’s body is buried. On his way, he bumped into a person who just walked away without saying anything. While investigating the place, Lady Phoebe’s bodyguard finds him and Malcolm’s missing finger is found in Joe’s pocket. He is stunned and is forced to fight with the bodyguard. The entire situation ends with Joe killing and burying the bodyguard. Well, he now has killed at least one person in the UK. After reaching home, he receives a message from the stalker saying if he loved killing the bodyguard or not and realizes that the stalker needs someone in his life and starts to play the game by saying that killing the bodyguard was “exhilarating.”
The episode ends with Joe entering the Sundry House once again and the entire group watching him with suspicion while the police take him away for interrogation.
