First half of 'You' Season 2 made fans like Love more, but by the second half they were back to missing Beck

While Beck was an aspiring writer who had a vibrant social life, Love is a professional chef whose friends are more down-to-earth.

The fans were not kind to Guinevere Beck after the end of the first season of 'You'. Many had called her "dull and boring" and some even went as far as to call her "ungrateful" at her response to whatever Joe did for her. The same sentiment is echoed in Season 2 of 'You' by Love Quinn, Joe's love interest for the season. Love even tells him that she did not deserve him.

While Beck was an aspiring writer who had a vibrant social life, Love is a professional chef whose friends are more down-to-earth than Peach Sallinger and co. Beck, whose insecurities made her a tad annoying at times, seemed much more immature than Love who seems to have her life settled.

Of course, that is until the latter half of the season when we realize that Love is a lot more like Joe - too much, in fact. We learn that she killed Forty's au pair (and made her brother believe that he had killed her) in the past as well as Delilah and Candace in the present to protect Joe.

Though fans initially agreed that Love is much more well-rounded than Beck ever was, they quickly changed their minds as they learned more about her. One fan wrote, "Beck is superior to Love and Love is more toxic and crazier than Beck," to which another replied, "Haha I think you mean Love is more put together and not emotionally unstable and dull like Beck."

A fan wrote on a Reddit thread, "I didn’t like her that much either... even after finishing s2 I still didn’t like her that much. She’s kind of a mary sue as in everybody likes her and she seems perfect- at least in Joe’s eyes." Another fan tweeted, "Love in #You is literally.... not it. Give me Beck or give me death."
