'You Light Up My Christmas': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and everything you need to know about Lifetime's holiday movie

Well, Ho Ho Ho, Christmas is coming, and 'It's a wonderful Lifetime' brings to you exclusive holiday films all season long. With Halloween coming to an end, the spirit of Christmas comes in like a knight in a Santa hat to sweep you off your feet! 

The latest film is called 'You Light  Up My Christmas' and it is a film which will warm the coldest of souls. Here's everything we know about the film so far:

Release date

The film is set to air on December 1, 2019. 

Plot

Inspired by true events, two weeks before Christmas, Emma (Kim Fields) returns to her hometown which is built around her family's Christmas Light Factory. However, upon her arrival, she discovers that the lights have lost their luminescence, and so has the once festive town.

The universe guides her to reconnect with her hometown and perhaps, an old flame too. Will it set their hearts and the town ablaze with life and light all over again?

Kim is an American actress known for her work on films like 'The Facts of Life', 'Living Single', 'Martin' and 'What to Expect When You're Expecting'. She will be seen playing Emma in this Christmas movie.

Adrian Holmes

Adrian is an actor and a producer. He is known for his role in films like 'Cabin in the Woods', 'Elysium', 'Are We There Yet?' and 'Skyscraper'. He will be seen playing Ben, Emma's old flame, in this Christmas movie.

Rhonda is an NAACP-nominated writer/director based in Atlanta. Her most recent work includes Lifetime's star-studded 'Pride and Prejudice Atlanta', an all-black, version of the Jane Austen classic, and 'Downsized'. She has also directed other films like 'Bobbi Kristina', 'Pastor Brown', and 'Love Under New Management'. Rhonda is the director of Lifetime's latest Christmas flick — 'You Light Up My Christmas'. 

Where to watch it

The film will air only on Lifetime Channel on December 1 at 8/7c.
