All that we know about 'Snowdrop', the K-drama starring Blackpink's Jisoo

While Blackpink is gearing up for their long-awaited comeback with their first full album this fall, it's member Jisoo is making news for her upcoming drama series. Jisoo is all set to play the lead role in JTBC's upcoming drama series, 'Snowdrop'. The show will mark her first return to the small screen after her appearance in tvN's 'Arthdal Chronicles' last year.

Currently, Jisoo's band, Blackpink, is set to release their full-length album in October. They have already released a pre-single video on YouTube titled, 'How You Like That', which set a total five Guinness World Records, as the video racked up 86.3 million views within 24 hours of its release and it was certified as the most-viewed video, music video and K-pop video in 24 hours on YouTube. The band will be dropping the second pre-single on Friday, August 28, with Selena Gomez featuring in it.

The makers have not announced the release date of the drama series. We will update this article once we have more information.

Plot

The plot hasn't been released to the public yet but we're expecting drama, romance and mystery.

Kim Ji-soo, better known with her stage name Jisoo, was born in the city of Gunpo in the south of Seoul in South Korea’s Gyeonggi province in January 1995. She attended the famous School of Performing Arts Seoul high school and became a trainee with YG Entertainment in 2011. She was unveiled as 'Mystery Girl No.2' by YG before her picture and name were revealed in 2013. Jisoo became a famous K-pop commodity before her official debut with the girls' band, 'Blackpink', in 2016. She made cameos in music videos by a range of K-pop acts like in Epik High and Hi Suhyun in 2014, landed endorsement deals from brands like Samsonite, Nikon and LG, made TV appearances and began an acting career with the 2015 Korean drama, 'The Producers'. In 2018 and 2019, she made Gallup Korea’s top 20 list of the nation’s favorite K-pop idols.
