Spoilers for 'Yellowstone' Season 3 Episode 8 'I Killed a Man Today'

It was not an easy day for Beth Dutton. The fierce character played by Kelly Reilly had decided that it was probably her last chance to get things back in her control. And so, she set to the task at hand and left no stone unturned as she made her attempts at saving the Dutton land from the impending doom. The vultures are nearing the ranch and the Dutton land and this time around in Season 3, the stakes are much higher than they have ever been before. This time, the family drama on the contemporary Western show is also unlike ever before.

Willa Hayes (Karen Pittman) of Market Equities sits in her lavish office as she watches in shock how Beth is raising the prices of the stocks of Schwartz and Meyers. She is caught completely by surprise as Beth is playing around with the stocks of Market Equities too. The idea is simple. Beth has leaked to the press that Market Equities is moving towards a forceful takeover of Schwartz and Meyers. This is only a rumor but it rakes up the stocks of her company.

Willa is also pleasantly surprised by the simple yet conclusive move. She then tells one of her staffers that she is impressed and that after Beth is fired from Schwartz and Meyers, they should hire her at Market Equities. Their own battles aside, Willa definitely admires Beth for her guts and the affinity to take risks — something she does time and again.

At the end of it all though, Willa's company clarifies to the press that no forceful takeover is in the happening and all the money that Beth had managed to get goes down the drain. Of course, Beth knew this was coming. She then receives a call from her boss Bob Schwartz (Michael Nouri) — his assistant is calling to fix a meeting of them together. Beth knows what is going to happen. The risks she took with the company's stocks today haven't fared well for her and now her boss wants to meet her. Whether he will fire her or reprimand her, it looks like Beth might have a job waiting for her. Obviously it will be against her every instinct to do so.

'Yellowstone' airs on Sundays at 9 pm ET/ PT on Paramount Network.
