Spoilers for 'Yellowstone' Season 3 Episode 7 'The Beating'

There is finally a cause of celebration in the lives of Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser).

In Episode 7 of Season 3 of the Paramount hit show, 'Yellowstone', Beth asks her father John Dutton (Kevin Costner) to give her hand to Rip in marriage. This had been a long time coming and fans of the show and the onscreen couple finally have a reason to rejoice. To say that Beth and Rip are the best of couples we see on television isn't really cutting it - they're a power couple in their own way, exactly the manner that you expect from 'Yellowstone'.

Their relationship was revived upon Beth's return to the ranch from Salt Lake City. It started becoming intense in Season 2 after Rip literally saved her from death at the hands of a henchman sent by the Beck brothers. In Season 3, their love for each other grew even more intense eventually leading to Beth moving in with Rip in his cabin. Rip is John's most trusted man - he expresses this and even more in a special letter he writes to him in Season 2 when bestowing him the cabin.

Now, he has bequeathed his own daughter to him. He knew that Rip would never ask him for Beth's hand because he will never put him in a position like that. So he tells Beth that it is her only who has to do it for the two of them. And when Beth does, he happily approves of their marriage and blesses them. Later at the cabin, in a heartwarming scene, Beth and Rip promise each other a lifetime and more together. It is an especially beautiful scene as Beth bleeds her heart out in a vulnerable exchange. For anyone and everyone wishing on this for the last three seasons, this scene makes it completely worth it.

So what is going to go wrong now?

Maybe nothing will go wrong and the two will remain happy forever to come. But this is 'Yellowstone' and if there is something we know about the show by now it is that things go wrong only when one least expects it. Beth and Rip are both are fighting their own battles - Beth helping John fight the war against and Rip is back to handling the ranch with Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes), now Livestock Commissioner.

Beth is visited by Angela Blue Thunder (Q'orianka Kilcher) which points to the urgency they must adopt in order to protect what is their own from the transplants that Roarke Morris (Josh Holloway) and Willa Hays (Karen Pittman) are. And of course, the ranch and the Yellowstone land is always under threat. But under Rip's watchful eye, these are warded off.

Surrounded by danger, it feels unlikely that it won't come knocking on their door soon.

'Yellowstone' airs on Sundays at 9 pm ET/ PT on Paramount Network.
