‘Yellowjackets’: Release, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about Showtime drama by ‘Narcos’ writers
The greats minds behind creating one of the great shows has ever produced, ‘Narcos’ writer-producers Lyle and Nickerson are coming together for a Showtime project, which is currently in development. Titled ‘Yellowjackets’, the thriller-drama is labeled a female-centric new-coming-of-age series, which takes us through the lives of members of a girls’ high school soccer team, who make a mark in the state history but never get to compete.

As the ‘Yellowjackets’ has been signed for a pilot, Showtime is yet to announce the series’ premiere.
Plot
What has come to be known as a ‘female thriller’, only within hours since its announcement, ‘Yellowjackets’ deals with the lives of girls’ soccer team members, who survived a plane crash 25 years ago, when they were on their way to compete in the US Soccer Championship Series in Manchester. The story is premised on their behavior, which turns barbaric as they strive hard for survival, following the accident

Christina Ricci
Christina Ricci’s portrayal of unconventional roles have earned her several accolades, including the most prestigious Golden Globe, Primetime Emmy and Screen Actors Guild. She is popular for her role in series such as ‘The Lizzie Borden Chronicles’, ‘Z: The Beginning of Everything’ and ‘Pan Am’.
Creators/Showrunners
Lyle and Nickerson serve as executive producers for ‘Yellowjackets’, along with Karyn Kusama and Drew Comings who have also helmed it. Showtime and eOne have co-produced it. Kusama is known for directing ‘The Invitation’, ‘Girlfight’ and ‘Eon Flux’.
