'Wynonna Earp': When will Season 4 Episode 7 air? Here's why Syfy series is delayed and the new release date

Well Earpers, what a ride it has been! Our wait for the fourth season of 'Wynonna Earp' was long, but shall we say it was worth it? The two-year wait set up an incredible return for the Syfy series helmed by Emily Andras. With the return of Wynonna Earp (Melanie Scrofano), Waverly Earp (Dominique Provost-Chalkley) and Doc Holliday (Tim Rozon) to Purgatory after they were in the Garden of Eden for 18 months (though they did not know it), so did the misadventures of the group.

We saw Wynonna kind of trying to possibly explore what it is to be herself after the Bulshar curse was broken and her Peacemaker missing. She has changed a lot since she landed in Purgatory for a funeral and learning about a curse and with the midseason finale for Season 4, Wynonna has come to terms with all the killing that she has had to do.

Meanwhile, Nicole Haught (Katherine Barrell) had gotten desperate in Waverly's absence and went to Carol Clanton aka Mama Clanton (Paula Boudreau) who cast a hex on Nicole for opening a doorway into the Garden. Carol asked for one thing in return: for Nicole to kill Doc. Thankfully, Nicole's hex has been lifted with Waverly shooting Carol. However, will things go entirely back to normal for them? Well, they must since it is now official news that Nicole and Waverly are engaged. Could this mean a wedding in the Season 4 finale?

Things won't look so great for Doc's and Wynonna's relationship, however. After he worked hard to broker a peace deal between the Earps and the Clantons, Wynonna shot Sheriff Claiborne (Ty Olsson) in the back. The Clantons may not be all gone — there's a good chance that Cleo (Savannah Basley) will come back to continue Carol's work and seek revenge and she seems like she can get way more dangerous.

When will Season 4 return with new episodes? Production on the fourth season for 'Wynonna Earp' began in January 2020 and continued till March 2020 when it had to halt due to lockdown measures for the coronavirus pandemic. This is the reason why the show has been split into two halves. However, 'Wynonna Earp' was one of the first shows to resume production according to safety protocols during the coronavirus pandemic and shooting resumed in July 2020 with the cast and crew currently working on the final six episodes.

Syfy has given us a promo to indicate when the show will be returning. The promo shows Wynonna creepily reciting a nursery rhyme while she strolls through the forest — perhaps looking for someone. Waverly returns with a new, sleek haircut and there are new monsters in town. The promo also features Doc, Jeremy Chetri (Varun Saranga) and Rachel Valdez (Martina Ortiz-Luis).

Given that the promo indicates that the show will return with the back half of season 4 in 2021 and that the production team is already two months into shooting those final episodes, it might be safe to say that 'Wynonna Earp' could very well be a New Year's gift from Syfy and air in early 2021. 'Wynonna Earp' will return with new episodes for Season 4 in 2021. Watch the promo for the second half of the season below.
