The beauty brand's first base product 'Power Plush Longwear Foundation' offers a medium buildable coverage that claims to last 12 hours. She explained in the caption, "Actually dreaming i have my first FOUNDATION for @kyliecosmetics 🖤 Power Plush Longwear Foundation launching January 17 on KylieCosmetics.com."
To tease the launch, Kylie shared a promotional photoshoot on her Instagram. In the photo, Kylie posed with the foundation on a black background. Kylie's photo was mirrored, highlighting her stirring upper physique and bold red lips.
Social media users took to Reddit and criticized Kylie's new promotional photoshoot.

However, Kylie's fans believed that she aged nearly two decades after she flaunted her side profile in a beauty advertisement. A Reddit user took to the social media platform and shared a side-by-side comparison from 2017 in a thread, showing the differences in her facial structure.
The first photo showed her roughly six years ago in an ad promoting a nude lip kit. In the throwback photo, Kylie appeared to have a fuller face and a much less defined jawline than in the recent ad for Kylie Cosmetics.
In the recent ad, Kylie looked completely different with a seemingly altered nose, lips, brow bone, and jawline. Kylie's chiseled jaw sparked debate on social media and critics were convinced that she "aged herself 20 years in just 6 years".
Kylie Jenner's mother Kris doubted her cosmetic brand
Kylie Jenner's mother Kris Jenner was not totally sure about launching Kylie Cosmetics at first. In an interview with Jennifer Lawrence for Interview magazine, Kylie revealed that her mother was not initially sold on the Kylie Lip Kit.
Kylie revealed, "Proving people wrong was a challenge, but so was building it from the ground up. It was me and my mom and we never made a make-up line."
She further noted, "We didn't know where to start. We didn't have anyone helping us."
Kylie claimed, "And my mom thought I was going to be stuck with lip kits in my garage for the rest of my life." However, the reality star then reflected on the success of the product and noted, "I think we ordered 5,000 of each colour; that was the minimum."
Kylie recalled, "And she was like, 'You better be ready, Kylie, because you might have a lot of lip kits in your garage for the rest of your life, so you better love these colours'."
