The wait is finally over and Season 5 of the acclaimed series ‘Workin’ Moms’ is set to premiere on Netflix on Tuesday, June 15. The Canadian show, which originally airs on CBC Television in Canada, will be returning to the streaming platform after a year of hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

‘Workin’ Moms’ is one of the several Canadian shows that have been immensely popular in the US. It follows the likes of ‘Schitt’s Creek’, ‘Coroner’ and ‘Murdoch Mysteries’ which have received acclaim from the critics as well as the audience.

The series is a hilarious and all-too-relatable look at modern-day motherhood. The story follows the lives of four women – Kate (Catherine Reitman), Anne (Dani Kind), Frankie (Juno Rinaldi), and Jenny (Jessalyn Wanlim) - who became friends while attending a bizarre Mommy and Me class. Over time, they have started to share a special bond with each other because of their roles as moms.

In all four seasons, we have seen the characters going through a lot of situations. From postpartum depression to infidelity, the gang has experienced it all. The upcoming series is surely going to up the game and is expected to bring even more personal drama for all the characters.

Here’s everything we know about the Season 5 of ‘Workin’ Moms’.

Air time and how to live stream

According to the Netflix press site, the upcoming season of ‘Workin’ Moms’ will be airing in the US on Tuesday, June 15, at 3 am ET. Viewers can subscribe to see all the previous four seasons on the streaming giant.  A premium plan that allows more people to watch the service on different screens simultaneously, costs $18 per month. Meanwhile, the basic US plan costs $9 per month.

Plot

There is no official synopsis for Season 5, but the show is expected to see the characters having a dramatic turnaround. Kate (Reitman) might be making a great sacrifice that would guide her back to her life in Toronto. Meanwhile, Jenny (Wanlim) will be facing the wrath of the lies that she has been telling.

Cast

All the original cast members will return, according to a table read photo that the ‘Workin' Moms’ Instagram posted. The confirmed Season 5 cast includes Catherine Reitman (Kate), Jessalyn Wanlim (Jenny), Dani Kind (Anne), Juno Rinaldi (Frankie), Sarah McVie (Val), Sadie Munroe (Anne's daughter Alice), Philip Sternberg (Kate's husband Nathan), Ryan Belleville (Anne's husband Lionel), and Alex Mallari Jr (Malcolm).

Creators

The show is created and co-written by Catherine Reitman. Other writers to pen the story include the likes of Rebecca Kohler, Karen Moore, Diane Flacks, and Ingrid Haas.
