It seems that VLive is the greatest K-pop gift there ever was. Following iconic VLives like that of Wonho’s 4-hour Live or TXT Soobin’s 5-hour Live where they simply chatted with fans, we have another idol jumping on the bandwagon. On May 4, to pass the time during quarantine, Seventeen’s Woozi decided to go on VLive for almost 6 hours. After the first 30 minutes, the Live ended and fans thought that was it. However, he came back sharing that he had gotten disconnected due to the poor WiFi and then stayed online for over 5 hours chatting with fans and talking about anime.

Well, on August 2, a fan tweeted, “I love idols who are also losers.” In the responses, we had funny moments from NCT’s Mark being awful at basketball to Ateez’s Wooyoung screaming like a chihuahua while bungee jumping. But it was a Carat’s (Seventeen’s fan) response that went viral as she brought back Woozi’s 6-hour VLive. The tweet started making the rounds on K-pop Twitter and seems to have even reached Woozi himself. In response to fans jokingly calling him a loser for being an anime fan, he reacted in the best way possible. The Seventeen member posted a cover of ‘Spy x Family’ OST.

Seventeen’s Woozi posts an anime OST

A day after the Carat’s tweet, on August 4, the idol producer decided to post a video of him singing the OST of the ongoing popular anime ‘Spy x Family’. The video immediately garnered over 1.6 million views. Well, fans think that he uploaded the cover to playfully respond to the viral tweet about his 6-hour VLive on anime. Fans went on to make tweets like, “Woozi heard you all calling him a loser for his anime vlive and went Hehe .. watch this. then dropped a cover of an anime ost.”

Fans left comments like, “Woozi saw that tweet going around about him being a loser for doing a 6 hour anime ranking vlive and decided to fight back by posting more anime,” and “The way he posted this right after the 6 hour long anime vlive made a comeback on the tl thanks to that one tweet of idols being losers 😭😭 we love u woozi.” Another said, “This feels like a fever dream to me, woozi singing the opening of spy family.”

‘He faced the sun’

One fan hoped, “Spy family season 2 ost will be performed by woozi of seventeen it has to.” Carats also started reminiscing about the VLive, “The f**king sun really came up it was insane.” With Seventeen’s latest album being called ‘Face the Sun’, one joked, “He faced the sun.” Another added, “Lee woozi, kpop's best producer with over a hundred songs to his name in a successful kpop group selling millions to their name but he's also the guy who spend 6hrs live talking about anime with his fans. i love how woozi can freely express his anime obsession, i love him sm.”

One Carat found something else scary, “People often use the 6hr anime ranking vlive to call woozi a loser but it’s actually very sexy & cool to be so passionate about ur interests that ure able to entertain others for that long. what’s worse is woozi not drinking water for FIVE HOURS.” One made a reaction meme, “Woozi in that 6 hour video talking about anime:.”
