DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, CARIBBEAN: 'The Trust: A Game of Greed' Season 1 is getting more intense with every episode.
In the latest episode of the Netflix show, Winnie Ilesso gets eliminated as Brian Firebaugh, Gaspare Randazzo, and Jake Chocholous accuse her of voting against Bryce Lee.
Brian and Gaspare believed that Winnie's strategies posed a threat to their own game and they feared that she would eventually target them. As a result, Winnie was voted out in Episode 7 by a number of contestants.
During a confessional, Gaspare stated that Winnie, Tolu, and Jay appear to be targeting him, so he must now focus on protecting himself in the game show.
Brian labeled Winnie as dangerous and expressed his intention to eliminate her in order to remove another competitor who was close to winning the substantial cash prize.
They claimed that Winnie had been manipulating and influencing other participants in the house, leading to the elimination of those individuals who were once their closest allies.
And now, Tolu, who is a marketing manager by profession, is afraid she might be the next to get evicted from the show.
Tolu thinks that she is the next target on their hit list.
Tolu Ekundare breaks down after Winnie Ilesso's elimination
Winnie's elimination from the show didn't sit well with her close friend Tolu Ekundare.
Tolu gets very emotional after she learns that her friend Winnie has been evicted from the show.
Her fellow contestant Julie Theis tried to console her after Winnie's elimination.
In a confessional, the 26-year-old says, "I could see that Julie is trying to like, get me out of this dark place but like, they just voted out Winnie and I know that I'm the next target on their hit list."
Ekundare further adds, "I feel alone, sad. I feel defeated done burnt a lot of bridges. Trying to keep Winnie in the house and at this point, I just feel like, why even try?"
Winnie and Ekundare had been like two peas in a pod right from the beginning of the show.
