Is 'Power Book IV: Force' returning after season 3? What the finale means for Joseph Sikora's Tommy
Ever since the original 'Power' aired more than a decade ago, audiences quickly foresaw the action crime drama's rise in popularity. Now, as the finale of the spinoff 'Power Book IV: Force' Season 3 drops, one can't help but wonder about the future of the franchise. Joseph Sikora took the previous seasons of the show to new heights of popularity, and the third season premiered in November 2025 with ten episodes. The tenth and final episode, titled 'Beginning of the End', is dropping on January 16, 2026.
'Power Book IV: Force' will be coming to an end with the premiere of its finale episode, and the spinoff won't be returning with a new season in the foreseeable future. Starz had previously confirmed that it would not produce a fourth season. This is in keeping with the rest of the franchise, which is steadily gearing up towards concluding chapters across several fronts, including the prequel series 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan', which will conclude with the upcoming fifth season.
However, these do not mark the end of the franchise. Deadline reported in June 2025 that Starz had two 'Power' offshoot shows in the pipeline. The first of these is known as 'Power: Legacy' and is being developed by Kendra Chapman and Gary Lennon. The writer's room for this project was supposed to kickstart soon. However, not much else is known about 'Power: Legacy', other than the fact that Michael Rainey Jr. and Sikora are expected to lead the series set in the present timeline of the 'Power' franchise.
The second offshoot show that has already made headlines is 'Power: Origins'. It serves as a prequel to the events of 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan'. The show has been in development since 2024, and will feature Sikora and Omari Hardwick in their familiar roles of Tommy Egan and the Ghost. The show will focus primarily on their early years in the franchise. So far, eighteen episodes have been confirmed for 'Power: Origins'.
Sikora is quite a spectacle to look out for in the finale episode of 'Power Book IV: Force' season three. He commands immense gravitas as the New York drug kingpin who seeks to carve out a criminal empire in Chicago for himself. USA Today recently caught up with Sikora and asked him about the fate of his character in the show finale, to which the actor replied, "Even if Tommy doesn't make it through this season, which I can neither confirm nor deny, there is obviously a huge chance that he doesn't. I'm very proud that you want him to continue, but if this is the end for Tommy, I would say it doesn't mean that it's the end for Tommy appearing in the Power Universe."
