Erica Washington's journey on 'Temptation Island' has been anything but easy. The 24-year-old had to not only watch her man Kendal Kirkland disrespect their relationship but also engage in threesomes with other women. Instead of wallowing in self-pity and anger, Erica decided to release herself from the extremely toxic relationship with Kendal and focus her energy on healing herself and exploring potential new connections on the island.
With 12 handsome hunks on the island ready to sweep Erica off her feet, it was an easy task for the California resident to find herself a new man. She found herself being drawn to Jesse Stephanos. When it was time for choosing a man for her overnight date, Erica picked Jesse. By the end of their date, Erica began reevaluating her relationship with Kendal and seriously wondering about the possibility of her future with Jesse.

Jesse, 25, was extremely patient and gentle with Erica while she was going through a hard time with her relationship with Kendal. Instead of pushing himself on her and forcing her to ditch her boyfriend Jesse patiently sat with Erica and lent his shoulder for her to cry on and helped her heal from all the pain Kendal caused her. He made it very clear to Erica that no matter what she decided at the end of the day he would respect and support her decision.
He kept subtly dropping hints that he was interested in getting into a relationship with her. Erica seems to have finally picked up on his subtle hints and decided to give it a shot. During their overnight date, she opened up to him not only emotionally but also physically. She explained in her confessional how she was finally in a place to seriously consider Jesse as her potential partner and toyed with the idea of a possible relationship with him. She also added that he had proven himself to be the man who can make her feel 'safe and secure'.
So if Erica does eventually decide to dump Kendal for Jesse it wouldn't come as a surprise. The two definitely share great chemistry and seem to be extremely compatible with each other. Although we will know Erica's decision only during the final bonfire.
