'Wild Mountain Thyme': Meet Emily Blunt, Jamie Dornan, Jon Hamm and the rest of the cast of the Irish romance
The stakes are already high when the lead actor himself has proclaimed this is 'the Irish love story he's been waiting for', but there's a lot more than just that to the 2020 romance movie. The plot sees aesthetic, lush green countryside and palpable chemistry between its quality star cast.
The story revolves around a headstrong farmer, Rosemary Muldoon, who has her heart set on winning her neighbor Anthony Reilly's love. The problem is, Anthony seems to have inherited a family curse and remains oblivious to his beautiful admirer. Stung by his father's plans to sell the family farm to his American nephew, Anthony is jolted into pursuing his dreams. Emily Blunt
The new face of Mary Poppins is playing the leading role of Rosemary Muldoon in the upcoming romance. Blunt, a globally acclaimed and renowned actor, is most popular for her works in 'The Devil Wears Prada', 'The Young Victoria', 'Edge of Tomorrow', and The Girl on the Train (2016). Married to 'The Office' (US) actor John Krasinski, Blunt is a mother of two. She is also an acclaimed singer, as exhibited in 'Into the Woods' and the more recent 'Mary Poppins', her other areas of expertise being playing the cello and horseback riding.
Jamie Dornan
The world knows him as Christian Grey even though he has been in plenty of productions otherwise, he seems to be having a hard time registering to us as anything otherwise. Married to musician Amelia Warner, who offers the background score for 'Wild Mountain Thyme', Dornan plays the role of the hunky Anthony that Rosemary can't stop hopelessly pining for. Dornan is also famous for his roles in the Fifty Shades franchise, 'The Fall', 'A Private War', 'Mary Antoinette', and 'Anthropoid'.
Jon Hamm
Critically acclaimed for his role as Don Draper in 'Mad Men', 'The Town', and Million Dollar Arm', Hamm plays the role of Adam Kelly in the Irish romance. In 2000, he made his feature film debut in the space adventure film Space Cowboys. The next year, he had a minor role in the independent comedy Kissing Jessica Stein (2001). Hamm is also very popularly known for his role as the villainous Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne in the comedy 'The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'. Hamm has received 16 Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his performances in or production of Mad Men, 30 Rock (2006–2013), and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (2015–2019).
Christopher Walken
The veteran actor plays Anthony's scorned father who wants to hand over the entire empire to his nephew instead of the desperate son who wants to take up the reins. Walken is most popular for his roles in 'Hairspray', 'Catch Me If You Can', 'The Deer Hunter', and 'The Prophecy'. The American actor, singer, comedian, director, producer, screenwriter and dancer has appeared in more than 100 films and television programs. He has received a number of awards and nominations, including the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for 'The Deer Hunter.' He was nominated for the same award and won BAFTA and Screen Actors Guild Awards for 'Catch Me If You Can'. Walken has also played the lead in the Shakespeare plays Hamlet, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, and Coriolanus. He is a popular guest-host of Saturday Night Live.
