Is Leah McSweeney going after Heather Thomson for 'storyline'? 'RHONY' fans find housewife's obsession 'weird'
With Dorinda Medley's exit from 'Real Housewives of New York City', it looks like Leah McSweeney has assumed the infamous role of being the pot-stirrer of the group. On the recently aired episode of 'RHONY', Leah could be seen riling up her fellow housewives, especially Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps against their former co-star Heather Thomson.
Although Leah barely knows Heather, for some reason the Married to the Mob founder seems to be holding a grudge against the former 'RHONY' alum. So, when Ramona informed Leah that she had invited Heather to join them for a fun trip to Hamptons, the housewife was far from pleased with the news. Leah then began questioning Ramona's decision by bringing up how Heather always talked down about them during her interviews and wondered why her co-stars want to be friends with someone who constantly kept pulling them down.

The night before Heather's arrival, Leah tells her fellow housewives that they all need to come up with a plan to ambush Heather. When her co-stars looked a bit hesitant about it, Leah pulled out her cellphone and began reading out articles where the former housewife spoke down on them. She read out Heather's snide comments about Sonja's plastic surgeries and accusations of Luann being a drug addict to the group. This finally got the ladies riled up against Heather and they were ready to teach their former co-star a lesson.
When fans noticed how Leah seemed to be hell-bent on going after Heather despite not knowing her too well, they began wondering what she was onto. Many fans were convinced that the designer housewife was just trying to use Heather for her storyline on the show. A fan tweeted, "So ganging up on a person is back in ? Wtf is this.... Several other fans felt that Leah might have plotted against Heather to ensure that the former housewife won't overshadow her. In March news broke out about Heather quitting filming the hit reality show midway after a fight with Leah. According to reports, Heather was roped in after she seemed very excited about new cast member Eboni Williams. So, the production managed to get Heather in by having the OG housewife, Ramona Singer, invite Heather to the Hamptons trip. Although we don't have the complete details of what went down in the trip, it seems like things didn't go too well, for Heather quit filming for the show after returning from the trip.
Fans got a peek of the heated exchange between the ladies on the season's trailer released by the network. In the trailer, Leah can be seen calling Heather a 'Karen'. It's not just Leah who seems to have had an issue with Heather, according to reports the other housewives especially Sonja and Luann and even new housewife Eboni weren't able to get along with Heather. Page Six revealed that a source told them, "Heather was kind of like a Debbie Downer and plus, no one trusted her because of everything she talked about in the press after she left the show." We will have to watch the season to see how things play out between Heather and the other housewives.
