LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: See the Way I See is a one-of-a-kind apparel and lifestyle business that promotes mental health awareness and stigma reduction. Sophie Nistico, who suffers from anxiety and persistent migraines, founded the company. Sophie's own experiences with mental health inspired her to launch See the Way I See, a line of items that include clothes, jewelry, accessories, and stationery, all of which are intended to assist and encourage individuals who are struggling with their mental health. See the Way I See is making a positive influence on the mental health community and helping to increase awareness and understanding of this critical subject by printing positive affirmations on the sleeves of their sweatshirts and committing to size inclusiveness.

Sophie introduced her company to raise mental health awareness on 'Shark Tank' Season 14 Episode 21. Even though she did not receive an offer, the young entrepreneur wowed the Sharks with her sales, pitch, and vision for her firm.

Sophie shocks Sharks with her sales figure

See the Way I See is a clothing brand that promotes mental health awareness via apparel, accessories, jewelry, and stationery. Positive affirmations are printed on the sleeves of the sweatshirts to give them a lift when they need it. The apparel comes in a variety of sizes, which is crucial because mental health impacts individuals of all shapes and sizes. The jewelry is meant to spark conversation, while the accessories and stationery are meant to keep individuals organized and focused. The brand now sells sizes ranging from small to 5XL and will soon expand to XXS-6XL with the support of the Sharks.

The company's goods include t-shirts, stickers, caps, hoodies, phone covers, and other accessories. The many rings, including the All Smiles Ring and the Anxious Ring, cost $25 each. Other rings begin at $20. The many stickers, which include Normalise Mental Health Day, Manifest, Lazy Daisy, and others, cost $4 each. The brand's many posters cost $12.50 each. Sophie also has a nice selection of Crewneck t-shirts for $60.

Sophie stepped into the Tank looking for $250,000 for 10% of her business. When Shark Kevin O'Leary questioned Sophie's company sales, she took advantage of the chance to be cheeky with the Sharks. She began by saying $260k in sales for the year, only to correct herself and clarify it was just in the first 24 hours. The Sharks' panel let out a collective, "WHAT?!?"

Why did no Shark invest in See The Way I See?

Sharks were left dumbfounded after hearing Sophie's sales figures and how she attracts clients through organic marketing. Sophie recorded her experience on social media sites including Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Many of her fans saw her outgrow her family's two-car garage and transfer to a 6,500-square-foot warehouse. Over the years, the startup has grown gradually. However, her company still has problems with overseas shipping and restocking. As a result, the entrepreneur sought assistance from outside investors.

However, after seeing Sophie and her ambition to grow her business greater than before, the Sharks concluded that the young entrepreneur does not require any further investment from them, which would compel her to dilute a part of the firm. Shark Lori Greiner said, "I will be a supporter; not an investor." While Mr Wonderful shared another huge compliment to Sophie, "You're killing it." Shark Mark Cuban feels Sophie is a "star in the making."

As the episode was airing, one Shark who was absent from May 5 episode, Daniel Lubetzky tweeted, "Love Sophie’s See The Way I See co! She could be a solid partner to build a serious platform. It’s hard for Sharks to say 'no' to nice people. But I think entrepreneurs deserve a more earnest answer than 'you are so amazing that don’t need us'." The Shark seemed a bit disappointed how his fellow investors had nothing more to offer to the young entrepreneur if not their money.

However, impressed how Sophie has built her business, Barbara Corcoran tweeted, "The power of social media! I'm excited to see the bright future Sophie has in store." Speaking of the no deal being made, Lori said, "Sometimes you leave the tank with a deal and sometimes you leave with something even more valuable. Proud of Sophie and the self-confidence she gained today! One impressive young woman!" Shark Kevin also joined the conversation as he advices, "If sales is your thing, if you’re a designer, speaker, artist, whatever it may be, start from there. Start there and hustle like crap. It could be your golden ticket."

'Just proved that positive affirmations really DO work!'

Fans too were glad to see Sophie not pushing on getting an offer, "Never seen an entrepreneur on Shark Tank deciding they didn’t need an investor and can do it all on their own. That was really cool." Another added, "Sophie should feel very affirmed with that feedback from the Sharks!" One tweeted, "She just proved that positive affirmations really DO work!" A fourth person shared, "I am extremely impressed by this girl on #SharkTank. Kudos to her by showing that you don’t need to be ashamed of mental illness."
