Why did Louis Russell and Christine Obanor split? 'THTH' Season 5 alum returns to Season 6 after hard breakup
TKCA 1ZZ, TURKS & CAICOS ISLANDS: Louis Russell and Christine Obanor remained together for about one month following the 'Too Hot to Handle' Season 5 finale. But on August 15, Christine revealed on Instagram that they had made the decision to split up after "over a year" of dating.
She wrote, "To the man that heated my cold heart," to Louis beneath a slideshow of their images.
"There is nothing in this world that I would trade for the experience I got to share with you. It sounds insane to say an experience like Too Hot to Handle actually changed me, but boy, did it save me from myself."
"Although we went through tough obstacles in the outside world, I’m glad to have had you in my life for 1 1/2 years," Christine continued.
"There was never a dull moment with you; Honestly, why did we act like that when we were together?! Our chemistry was unmatched. That chapter is over and done. I wish you nothing but the best Louis. Thank you, Next."
Regarding Louis, after his unexpected appearance on 'Too Hot to Handle' Season 6, he revealed that he and Christine had broken up because of "long distance," with Louis living in the UK and Christine in Los Angeles, California. On the show, he gave a brief explanation of the separation, but on TikTok, he spoke at length.
'Too Hot to Handle' alum Louis Russell takes to TikTok to address split from Christine Obanor
Three days following Christine's announcement of their separation, Louis went into more information about their breakup. He restated in a three-minute TikTok that the reason for his and Christine's problems was distance, but they made an effort to find a solution by having Louis fly his girlfriend to London.
Sadly, he said that when they weren't on their stunning getaway, the "vibes" between them weren't the same.
"We have good banter, but we just didn't click," Louis noted. "I had to tell her, like, I just don't think we're gonna be able to go further."
He acknowledged that he and Christine had broken up on a "mutual decision," but he also said that they hadn't spoken in "ages"—roughly ten to eleven months—after the breakup. After the episode aired, Louis claimed they tried to become friends but were unable to since "emotions were high."

Where is 'Too Hot to Handle' alum Christine Obanor now?
Even though they've had some difficult moments, the Netflix star said in his TikTok that there isn't "bad blood" between them. Although Christine hasn't said much about the breakup, she did bring it up when she made an appearance on 'Perfect Match' Season 2.
She was paired with Nigel Jones, another competitor, during her time on the show. Regretfully, Nigel and Christine parted ways following the conclusion of 'Perfect Match' Season 2.
'Too Hot to Handle' alum Louis Russell breaks Lana's rules with Katherine LaPrell
Folks, he's back! Louis, a cast member of Season 5, made a comeback in Episode 2 of Season 6 to attempt Lana's retreat once again. He showed interest in Katherine LaPrell, and the two had already breached a number of rules. They were put to the final test by spending a night apart from the others.
After that, they were put to the test once again when Katherine went on a date with Cristian, the new lad. Although she appeared to enjoy the evening, she later admitted to Louis that she was only interested in him. Will they stay together?
We guess we'll simply have to wait to find out in the upcoming episodes.
