LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: James Harris and David Parnes decided to leave 'Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles' in 2022 to pursue new opportunities. They announced their decision through a shared Instagram post, reflecting on their decade-long journey on the show.
"We started our business in Los Angeles in 2012 and we received a phone call that we were never expecting," they began their statement. James and David, who began their journey in London, arrived in America with a big dream. Despite their initial lack of money and connections, a call from Bravo transformed their circumstances.
“The voice on the other end of the line was a casting call for Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles,” they further added. They went on to say, “From starting families to watching our kids grow to climbing from [$1 million] in sales to over $5 billion in sales, we would never in our wildest dreams have imagined the world watching it happen along with us."
The former stars of 'MDLLA' carefully deliberated their decision to depart the show after seven seasons, stating they thought "long and hard" about it. While they didn't specify the reasons for their departure, James and David expressed deep gratitude to the viewers, cast, and crew who made their journey incredibly worthwhile.
“We feel that as our business has evolved, we need to keep moving. We thank all our fans wholeheartedly and vow that we won’t stop because we can’t stop," they concluded.

"After a decade of remarkable growth and achievement [we] bid farewell to The Agency and announce [our] new partnership with esteemed colleagues at Carolwood Estates," they wrote.
They continued, "As proud contributors to The Agency’s legacy of excellence and innovation in the real estate industry, our team is grateful for the unwavering support and collaboration of our colleagues, clients and partners."
The statement further read, "Reflecting on the past decade, we are humbled by the incredible growth, meaningful relationships and numerous milestones we have shared together. We express our sincere appreciation to The Agency’s leadership team and staff for their guidance, mentorship and camaraderie throughout our journey."
"As we look forward, we are excited to embark on this new chapter with Carolwood, a move that aligns us with like-minded professionals dedicated to excellence and client-centric service," they added.

James and David, who recently became part of Carolwood Estates for their latest real estate endeavor, are also working on another exciting project. They have teamed up with Estate Media, a media company specializing in real estate, which was established in 2023 by a group of industry experts including Josh Flagg, Griffin O'Brien, and Andrew Shanfeld.
According to the company's website, Estate Media "brings together luxury real estate's biggest personalities" to deliver digital media through podcasts, videos, a newsletter, and social content that "entertains and informs."
