TISHOMINGO, OKLAHOMA: As per the sneak peek released by NBC of 'The Voice' Season 25, Gwen Stefani is not a part of the coaching panel anymore. Reba McEntire and John Legend are the coaches from Season 24 who will be joining Season 25. They will be joined by country singer duo Dan and Shay and Chance the Rapper.
Gwen Stefani surely had a tough time in Season 24. Nobody from her team was able to reach the final five. She was even criticized for her choices from the Blind Auditions round. However, that is not the reason for her exit. As per a report by Distractify, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are preparing to welcome their first child together through IVF. Gwen is also prepared to focus on new music for 2024. Apart from that, her husband Blake Shelton also left the franchise in 2022 which might have fueled her decision.
'The Voice' coach also stated that she needs to prioritize her family, which includes her husband Blake Shelton, and her three sons, Kingston, Apollo, and Zuma, from her marriage to ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.
Why did Blake Shelton leave 'The Voice'?
In October 2022, Blake Shelton announced that he would be leaving 'The Voice' after more than a decade. He can be termed as the most successful coach as he won around nine seasons. Even though he did not specify the reason for exiting the show, he made it clear that he was leaving the show on good terms. He was replaced by Reba McEntire on the coach's panel.
A source told Entertainment Tonight that Blake wanted to spend more time with his family. The source also stated that Gwen couldn't be prouder of her husband's decision to leave the show. She said that she understood the importance of the situation and that Blake took the decision after discussing it with her.
Did Gwen Stefani win any season of 'The Voice' Season 25?
Gwen appeared on seven seasons of 'The Voice', which includes 7, 9, 12, 17, 19, 22, and 24. The singer won 'The Voice' Season 19 with contestant Carter Rubin. This was the first and only win as a coach, as of 2024. Carter Rubin is the youngest winner of 'The Voice' to date. Carte got to work on new music after his win. He also kept his concentration on school. He hinted at plans to release an album but did not provide a specific date.
'The Voice' coach Gwen Stefani is making a big return to music in 2024
Gwen Stefani has a surprise planned for her fans in 2024. She told Entertainment Tonight on December 18, 2023, that she was ready to get back to the studio. She stated, "I’m putting out music, so I’m excited about that." She continued, "I’ve been working on this for a long time. I’ve finally landed in that place where I’m obsessed, where I can’t stop listening, so I feel like I’m somewhere. I’m just trying to find little pockets of time to make music and it still never gets old. It’s still so exciting and magical." Gwen Stefani's upcoming project is expected to be released by the end of this year.
Will Gwen Stefani return for the 'The Voice' Season 26?
The 54-year-old singer has not made it clear whether her decision not to be part of the show would be temporary or permanent. Coaches frequently rotate, and Stefani has been a coach on and off since 2014. However, we do know that Gwen Stefani will release new songs shortly.
