It's been proven time and again that Zelina Vega, real name Thea Megan Budgen, has a thing for shocking the Internet. From tying the knot to NXT star Aleister Black when her fans didn’t even know that the duo was dating, to standing up for Unionization and not backing down from streaming in Twitch, the star wrestler has done it all even if it meant sending out a message to WWE. Vega was recently released from WWE after she tweeted, “I support unionization.” Ten minutes after she tweeted, WWE released a brief statement announcing Vega’s release from the sporting body: “WWE has come to terms on the release of Zelina Vega. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

After her exit, Vega took to Twitter again to thank her WWE fans: "I want to say thank you all very much for the last 3-4 years @WWEUniverse, it was incredible. I would have never have been able to say “this is for you dad” if certain people did not believe in me. I love you all and I couldn’t have done it without your support."

While her fans are still in a state of shock and in absolute support of the 29-year-old wrestling star’s strong stance, this is nothing new when it comes to Vega's reputation of stunning the Internet. Tom Budgen, better known as Aleister Black – the WWE Smackdown Star is married to now-former WWE wrestling star, and their wedding and dating history had sent shockwaves across their fandoms. Currently, Black is drafted to the SmackDown brand of WWE.

In 2018, Zelina Vega and NXT Champion Aleister Bleck tied the knots and the wrestling Twitter went into a frenzy as they had no idea of the couple dating. According to a report, the Dutch wrestler first met Vega during a TXT championship where he won the title defeating Vega's client Almas for the gold but lost the strap to Tommaso Ciampa after that. The duo was rumored together after a photo of them released online and the SmackDown star appeared in an Instagram video training with Vega. But the couple’s relationship was concealed completely from the public until their news of marriage broke the Internet.

Both Black and Vega were seen with WWE for the first time in 2017. Though it was reported that Tom Budgen signed with WWE in 2016 and debuted with the name Aleister Black in January 2017 for WWE. Thea Megan Budgen signed with WWE the same year in May and started training at the WWE training center. She started appearing for TXT in June 2017.

Under WWE, Vega has also managed several high profile wrestlers. She became the manager of Mexican wrestler Andrade after joining WWE. Later she also took the managing job of Angel Garza and Austin Theory. Vega was seen on the ring confronting Andsrade’s behavior once, slapping the wrestler.

Vega’s steely nerves and iron will are shipped by her fans as they come in support of the wrestler’s stance now. A fan posted, ‘How does Zelina Vega get fired over speaking up but they still got predators employed and won’t fire them”. Fans are also wondering what would be Aleister Black’s reaction knowing Vega has been released from the Internet as a fan posted a clip saying, “Aleister Black waiting for Vince McMahon outside WWE HQ after they released Zelina Vega”
