UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Gwen Stefani made a difficult choice on 'The Voice' on November 6, before which, she asked the other coaches to pray for her.

During the season's final bouts, the 54-year-old pitted her two R&B artists against each other.

Brandon Montel and Kara Tenae sang 'Have You Ever' by Brandy. As the two vocalists competed, it was evident that they both had a strong emotional attachment to the song.

They gave it their all, which made it tough for the coaches on 'The Voice' to decide between the two.

The performance left Gwen, John Legend, Niall Horan, and Reba McEntire dumbfounded, and many viewers also couldn't decide who to send home.

"I'd have a hard time deciding," John told Gwen. "I'm not going to tell you who to pick. I'm sorry," he added.

Reba was more firm and stated that she would retain Kara, while Niall disagreed and stated that he would keep Brandon.

When it was finally Gwen's turn to laud her team members, she began with Brandon. She told him that his voice was his strength.

Nonetheless, she agreed that his performance was not as great as it had been during rehearsals.

The 'No Doubt' singer gave the opposite opinion of Kara, who she said when went above and beyond during the rehearsals.

"There was not one out-of-tune note," she told Kara.

She then stated that she wasn't ready to declare who won the war and begged for prayers to help her make her decision.

Gwen couldn't bring herself to select a winner even after being asked multiple times.

"I'm just gonna do it," she finally said. "I'm gonna go for it. The winner of this battle is Kara."
