BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: 'Botched' doctor Terry Dubrow is one of the most famous plastic surgeons in America. But does anyone know he had a brother called Kevin Dubrow, who rocked the metal world in the 1990s and 2000s?

Born on October 25, 1955, Kevin Dubrow was well known as an American singer who rose to fame as lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Quiet Riot from 1975 to 1987 and again from 1993 until his mysterious death in 2007. The Quiet Riot was formed by Randy Rhoads and bassist Kelly Garni in 1975 who recruited Kevin Dubrow and drummer Drew Forsyth. However, the lineup disbanded in 1979, and for a short time Kevin named the band DuBrow. After the death of Rhoads in a plane crash in 1982 Kevin changed the band name to Quiet Riot and by then they had released the hit 'Metal Health'.

In February 1987, Kevin Dubrow was fired from the band as he had a bad habit of badmouthing other musicians and that was a bummer to Quiet Riot's reputation. Kevin Dubrow was reported to have a habit of excessive drinking and drug use. However, in 1993, he regrouped with Quiet Riot and formed a band alongside Carlos Cavazo, Kenny Hillery, Pat Ashby, and Paul Shortino. The band released albums such as 'Terrified' (1993), 'Alive and Well' (1999), and 'Guilty Pleasures' (2001).

He was born to Los Angeles parents Laura and Alvin Durbow. He grew up there with his younger brother Dr Terry Dubrow. Kevin Dubrow worked as a morning DJ for the Rock Station in Las Vegas, KOMP 92.3 on the morning show alongside Craig Willaims. Kevin Dubrow dated Las Vegas radio DJ Lark Williams for seven years and broke off shortly before his death.

How did 'Botched' doctor Terry Dubrow's brother Kevin Dubrow die?

On November 25, 2007, Kevin DuBrow's body was discovered in his Las Vegas home. He was 52 years old and lived in Nevada at the time of his death.

Friends had been unable to contact Kevin Dubrow for a week and he also failed to attend a Thanksgiving party hosted by his friend Glenn Hughes. The last time he contacted Glenn, he said that he was going to make certain lifestyle changes.

According to a representative for the Clark County Coroner's Office, the toxicology analysis revealed that DuBrow died as a result of an unintentional cocaine overdose. Other medications identified in his system included pain relievers and alcohol.

Was 'Botched' doctor Terry Dubrow on good terms with Kevin Dubrow?

An episode of Bravo 'RHOC' featured Terry Dubrow bragging about his brother Kevin Dubrow who died in 2007. Dubrow mentioned he kept his late sibling's memory alive by displaying rows of platinum albums in his tony Newport Beach home and also Terry recalls how the two of them were close and they even shared a room. After Kevin's death, Terry and his mother gathered all his possessions and even brought the platinum records home.

However, a Reddit thread mentioned how during the last days of Kevin Dubrow, Terry or his family was not at all close to him. Due to his haphazard and dangerous lifestyle, the Dubrows kept their distance from Kevin.  A comment stated, "I remember seeing Terry and Heather on Hollywood Medium. He confirmed he and his brother were not speaking when his brother died. He said his brother had a bad drug problem. He didn't say much more.". This states that even though Terry did not disown his brother Kevin but surely maintained some distance from him.
