LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Zack Snyder's epic space opera 'Rebel Moon: Chapter Two: Curse of Forgiveness' is all set to roar as it is slated for a release on Netflix on Friday, August 2, 2024.
Picking up where the previous chapter, 'Rebel Moon: Part One: A Child of Fire' left off, the film delves further into the battle between the oppressed planet of Veldt and the oppressive Motherworld.
Kora (Sofia Boutella), the courageous warrior, and her band of rebels confront their most severe struggle yet as they gather the people of Veldt to protect their newly acquired independence.

Sofia Boutella as Kora/Arthelais
Sofia Boutella will portray Kora in the series, a former Imperium soldier who recruits fighters from all around the galaxy to battle the Motherworld.
Boutella was born on April 3, 1982, in Bab El Oued, Algiers, Algeria, to an architect mother and a jazz musician father named Safy Boutella.
Sofia started classical dancing when she was five years old and migrated to France at the age of ten because of the Algerian Civil War.
At 18, she joined the French national rhythmic gymnastics team and went on to graduate from Berklee College of Music.
She studied under Spanish choreographer Blanca Li and started performing in films, television shows, commercials, and concert tours.
Boutella's acting career began with her appearance in 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' in 2015 and has continued with her portrayal of Jaylah in 'Star Trek Beyond' in 2016.
Michiel Huisman as Gunnar

Michiel Huisman will portray Gunnar, Kora's love interest and farmer who helps her protect his homeworld, Veldt.
Huisman, a Dutch singer-songwriter, musician, and actor, was born on July 18, 1981.
His acting career started in 1998, with appearances in the Dutch soap opera 'Goede tijden, slechte tijden’.
He went on to star in Dutch shows and films including 'Costa!' and 'Black Book’, 'De co-assistent' and 'Bloedverwanten'.
Huisman's first international role was in the British television series 'Dalziel and Pascoe'.
He portrayed Sonny in HBO's 'Treme' and succeeded Ed Skrein as Daario Naharis on 'Game of Thrones’, becoming a series regular.
Djimon Hounsou as Titus

The film will star Djimon Hounsou as Titus, a former Imperium commander hired to lead the assault against the Motherworld.
Hounsou was born in Cotonou, Benin, on April 24, 1964, and moved to Lyon, France, with his brother Edmond when he was 12 years old.
From 1989 to 1991, Hounsou performed in music videos for Paula Abdul, Tina Turner, Janet Jackson, and Madonna.
His cinematic debut was in 'Without You I'm Nothing' in 1990 and then appeared in television series such as 'Beverly Hills, 90210’, ER',and others.
Hounsou got critical praise and a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in Steven Spielberg's 'Amistad' and he achieved more recognition as Juba in 'Gladiator’.
Ed Skrein as Atticus Noble

Ed Skrein will return as Atticus Noble, an admiral and Balisarius's right-hand man who was murdered by Kora but revived by the Imperium.
Skrein, born on March 29, 1983, is an English actor, director, and rapper.
In 2004, he released a three-track EP on Dented Records, followed by his first album, 'The Eat Up’, in 2007.
Skrein made his acting debut in Plan B's short film 'Michelle' and played his first starring part in 'Ill Manors’. He played Daario Naharis in the third season of 'Game of Thrones' but was replaced by Michiel Huisman in the fourth season.
Skrein also created and directed the short drama film 'Little River Run’, which he shared on Instagram in 2020.
Staz Nair as Tarak

Staz Nair will portray Tarak, a nobleman turned blacksmith who can form bonds with natural creatures.
Nair, of Indian and Russian origin, was a member of the band Times Red, who participated in 'The X Factor' in the UK in 2012. In 2013, the band's first song, 'Just No Good for Me’, was released.
Nair's acting credits include a part as Qhono in Season 6 of 'Game of Thrones' and a prominent cast role in Seasons 5 and 6 of 'Supergirl' in 2019.
