'Deliver Me': Cast and character guide on who’s playing who in Netflix's drama series

'Deliver Me' is a story of young boys who come under the grasp of local criminal networks

STOCKHOLM SWEDEN: Netflix's Swedish crime thriller series 'Deliver Me' aka 'I dina händer' tells the story of two young friends who are caught in the web of crime. The series will be released on April 24, 2024, and is directed by Anna Zackrisson who has previously directed 'White Wall', 'Snow Angels', and 'The Restaurant'. 

'Deliver Me' is based on a novel of the same name by Malin Persson Giolito. The series is about a crime committed by a 14-year-old and about who bears responsibility for this crime committed by a child. 

The series stars Olle Strand, Yasir Hassan, Yusra Warsama, Solomon Njie, Ardalan Esmaili, Ane Dahl Torp, Tyrone Michele, and others. 

The official synopsis of the series reads, "When teenagers Billy and Dogge are recruited by a local gang, the friends face a violent world they are too young to protect themselves from."

Olle Strand as Douglas Arnfeldt

Young Olle Strand makes his debut with 'Deliver Me' and he plays one of the protagonists of the series. He plays a young boy who is recruited by a local gang and exposed to a violent world. 

The series centers around Douglas Arnfeldt and his killing best friend Bilal Ali (Yasir Hassan). The character goes through a complete arc of emotions as he embraces the crime he committed at a young age. 

Yasir Hassan as Bilal Ali

Yasir Hassan makes his debut as Bilal Ali in the series 'Deliver Me'. Along with Douglas Arnfeldt, Bilal is at the center of the story in this series which talks about crimes committed by children. 

The character falls victim to a violent world which ultimately sees his best friend Douglas shooting him. The character has a lot of peaks and valleys as it chronicles the eventful journey of two boys who find themselves in the middle of an unforgiving criminal world. 

Yusra Warsama as Leila Ali

Yusra Warsama is an actress born on July 9, 1985, in the United Arab Emirates. She was only 18 months old when her Somalian family was displaced due to civil war and her family settled in Manchester, England. 

Yusra Warsama has previously worked in 'Our Girl' (2013), 'The Last Days on Mars' (2013), and 'Castle Rock' (2018) among others. She plays Leila Ali in 'Deliver Me' and is one of the central characters who is fighting for the justice of Bilal Ali.

Solomon Njie as Mehdi Bah

Solomon Njie plays the character of Mehedi Bah in the series. He plays a criminal who recruits the young boys Bilal and Douglas and introduces them to the world of crime. 

Solomon has acted in the TV Series 'Top Dog' (2020) where he plays the role of Karama and 'En mot en' (2022) playing the role of Ousman. 

Ardalan Esmaili as Farid Ayad

Ardalan Esmaili plays the role of Farid Ayad, a man who is trying to get to the bottom of the immediate crime, which is Douglas shooting Bilal and trying to do what's best for the young boys.  

Ardalan Esmaili was born in Tehran, Iran on March 22, 1986. He has previously acted in 'The Charmer' (2017), 'Greyzone' (2018), and 'Domino' (2019).

Ane Dahl Torp as Jill Arnfeldt

Ane Dahl Torp plays the role of Jill Arnfeldt in 'Deliver Me'. She was born in Bærum, Norway on August 1, 1975.

Her previous roles include 'The Wave' (2015), 'Charter' (2020), 'Gymnaslærer Pedersen' (2006), and 'Cold Lunch' (2008) among others. 

Tyrone Michele as Dawit

Tyrone Michele plays the role of Dawit in the series. He is also a musician who regularly drops his music on SoundCloud and YouTube.

Before working in 'Deliver Me', he played the role of Nahom in the short film 'Linje 18'.

Henrik Norlén as Teo Arnfeldt

Henrik Norlén appears in 3 episodes of 'Deliver Me' as Teo Arnfeldt. He was born in Karlstad, Värmlands län, Sweden on September 2, 1970.
