LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix is in a collaboration with A24, a popular production house behind the Oscar-winning movie 'Everything Everywhere All at Once'. The streaming platform is gearing up for the release of 'Beef' a dark comedy drama. The new series marks the vast involvement of Asian talent on and behind the camera. Netflix has a lot of successful Asian-American content on the platform, including the 'To All The Boys' movies series, 'Always Be My Maybe', and 'Bling Empire' and it's making a new addition with 'Beef'. The dramedy series created by Lee Sung-jin stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong as the lead.

The 10-episode Nefilx series will premiere at the 2023 SXSW Festival on March 18, 2023. It will arrive on Netflix on April 6. 'Beef' follows two different people from opposite worlds, who collided in a road rage incident. Hell-bent on revenge, the two engaged in a bitter feud that threatens to ruin their lives for good. The new Netflix series, brought out by Sung-jin who is known for his successful ventures like 'Silicon Valley', 'Tuca' and 'Bertie', is creating a buzz among people.

Who stars in 'Beef'?

Ali Wong has a special connection with Netflix. Their unbreakable bond has given people many hilarious moments. Wong has returned to Netflix with 'Beef' and will portray the role of Amy Lau. The character of Danny Cho is played by Steven Yeun. The rest of the cast includes Joseph Lee as George Nakai, Young Mazino as Paul Cho, David Choe as Isaac Cho, Remy Holt as June Nakai, Patti Yasutake as Fumi Nakai, Justin H Min as Edwin, Maria Bello as Jordan, Mia Serafino as Mia and Ashley Park as Naomi.

Lee Sung-jin worked with a dream team for 'Beef'

The dramedy series has been created by Lee Sung-jin, produced by Matthew Medlin, and produced by A24. While speaking with Variety, Sung-jin pointed out his delight in working with a dream team while making 'Beef'. He said, "Ali Wong, Steven Yeun, A24, and Netflix. It’s a dream team, and I’m honored to be collaborating with them."

He also revealed how he got the idea of 'Beef'. "I’m also grateful to the guy who yelled at me in traffic three years ago. I did not let it go, and now we have a show," he added.
