LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Similar to Korean dramas, Turkish dramas had a surge in popularity during the pandemic, and Netflix plans to capitalize on this trend with the release of 'As the Crow Flies' Season 3.

The series, which is directed by Deniz Yorulmazer, and Koray Kerimoglu, is scheduled to premiere on the streaming service on April 11, 2024.

The series narrates the exploits of a fan who gains access to the newsroom of an accomplished anchor and is forced to confront the negative repercussions of ambition.

Additionally, the third season will illuminate the themes of ambitions and the ways in which they influence the personal and professional lives of those who pursue them.

Prominent Turkish actress Birce Akalay portrays the ambitious news anchor Lale Kiran in the series.

Akalay, a native of Istanbul who reached the final round of the Miss Turkey competition, subsequently appeared on Turkish national television as a sports presenter.

She later transitioned into modeling and established herself as a fashion icon before making her film debut with 'Kader' in 2007.

Her other notable works include 'Little Lord', 'Price of Passion,' 'Nefes: Vatan Sagolsun,' 'Küçük Aga,' 'Colour of Victory,' and others.

The series features Miray Daner as the strong-willed fan Asli Tuna, who unintentionally becomes caught in the world of journalism and its complications.

Daner, who started her career at nine years old, landed her first starring role in 'Duygu' at the age of thirteen.

In addition, she has performed in advertisements and stage plays.

She received the Pantene Golden Butterfly Award in 2017 and gained prominent recognition for her role in 'Bir Litre Gözyasi'.

Her other notable performances include 'Wounded Love', 'Life,' and 'Boundless Love,' among others.

Ibrahim Celikkol, a gifted Turkish actor who has made a name for himself in television, movies, and modeling, brings life to the role of Kenan Sezgin. Prior to acting, Celikkol played basketball.

The actor demonstrated his athletic ability by playing for the Turkey national under-20 basketball team.

Despite his promising career in basketball, the actor quickly transitioned into modeling before eventually transitioning into acting.

Irem Sak, who portrays Müge Türkmen in the drama series, was born in Sivas on February 9, 1986.

Sak is of Circassian heritage and a graduate of Istanbul University's American Culture and Literature program.

Burak Yamantürk as Selim Kiran

Burak Yamantürk, who portrays Selim Kiran, is a renowned actor in Turkey's entertainment business.

Born in İzmit, Turkey, in 1983, the actor studied submarine technology but later pursued a career in acting.

At the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet, Yamantürk studied acting. He made his acting debut in 2010 with 'Ayhan Hanım' and has since appeared in a variety of projects.

His previous acting performances include, 'Yasak,' 'Hayat Yolunda,' 'Veda,' and  'Elbet Bir Gün', among others.
