Steve Kornacki’s shocking revelation about Taylor Swift

In a surprising moment on Friday's installment of the ‘Today’ show,  Steve Kornacki admitted that he didn't know who Taylor Swift was to the co-hosts Jacob Soboroff and Sheinelle Jones.

Soboroff introduced the topic, saying, "NBC News national political correspondent Steve Kornacki joins us, and here's the deal."

He continued, "Steve just said he didn't know before this week who Taylor Swift was because he said, 'Is she an actress? Was she a musician?'"

In a light-hearted exchange, Soboroff and Jones responded with laughter, suggesting that Kornacki’s Instagram might provide some context for his previous lack of awareness about Swift.

Jones humorously commented, "I may live under a rock, but you're like [under a] rock rock."

Kornacki acknowledged his limited knowledge, stating, "I knew she was prominent," and added, "I'll put it that way, but I didn't know the name."

The political analyst joined the conversation about Swift's rumored relationship with Travis Kelce and playfully compared their respective careers as well as noted that both were born in 1989.

Notably, Swift has enjoyed a remarkable 17-year career in the entertainment industry as a singer who has won the hearts of millions. On the other hand, Kelce, a two-time Super Bowl champion, has dedicated 11 years of his career to the Kansas City Chiefs.
