Who is Sara Haines’ favorite chaser on ‘The Chase’? ‘The View’ host takes subtle dig at Jeopardy!’s Ken Jennings
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: There is much overlap in Hollywood's game shows not only when to comes to the contestants but also the hosts. The same is the case with Sara Haines and Ken Jennings who host 'The View' and 'Jeopardy!' respectively. The two worlds collided in 'The Chase'.
After a recent appearance made by Jennings on 'The View', Haines revealed that he is not her favorite "chaser". She went on to say that it is a certain "Queen" Victoria, whom she hesitated to label, who is her favorite on the game show.
Who is "Queen" Victoria?
Victoria Groce earned this title on 'The Chase' through the host Haines after ruling quiz games all over the world. Before this, Groce had appeared as a contestant on 'Jeopardy!' as well. While she was not a champ for longer than a day, she is still remembered for her impressive performance in the winning episode. Groce was the one to end the 19-day streak of David Madd who was gearing up to enter the group of longest-running contestants on the game show.
She is currently a chaser on the show but besides that, she has won the World Quizzer of the Year award for her other quiz show performances. She works as a freelance writer and editor when she is not out and about between game show sets and winning with great margins.
Ken Jennings is not Sara Haines' favorite chaser
On one of the recent episodes of 'The View' host Haines gushed while announcing that "Queen" Victoria is going to make her return to "the throne." She followed that by hesitantly saying, "She is my, I hate to say this out loud...I don't know if I'm allowed to...my favorite chaser ever."
Haines then proceeded to cover her mouth with both her hands as if she would be reprimanded for revealing her favorite. However, that did not stop her from further praising Groce as she added, "She is fierce and amazing." Haines also went on to say that Groce is one of the "smartest women" around the globe. "She's a fast quizzer and she's awesome," the 'The View' host concluded.
Jennings was a part of 'The Chase' even before he got appointed as the host of 'Jeopardy!' in 2022 following Alex Trebek's death.
