Who is Salvador Perez? 'Celebrity IOU' Season 7 star Rosario Dawson expresses gratitude to friend of 20 years with 'Jedi' renovation
NEWARK, NEW JERSEY: Salvador Perez is a well-known Film and television costume designer and a self-proclaimed, 'Fashion Daddy.' He has been in the fashion industry for years and decided to become the next Calvin Klein soon after graduating.
Salvador pursued style at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles. According to his interview, Salvador kicked off his career working at a vintage clothing shop in LA. He became a big name in the design world after his work on the hit TV series 'Four Weddings and a Funeral.'
Salvador is also known for running the costume workroom in Mexico City for one of the biggest movies in the world, 'Titanic.' He also created his jewelry line for 'The Mindy Project' and 'Hocus Pocus 2.' Besides 'Mindy Project' and 'Titanic', Salvador's work also spread to 'Never Have I Ever' and 'Hocus Pocus' sequel.
Notably, Salvador also bagged a 2022-2023 Primetime Emmy Awards nomination for 'Hocus Pocus' 2 in the Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-fi Costumes category. He has also designed costumes for the 3-term CDG President. Salvador is also a long-time designer of 'Ashoka' star Rosario Dawson and also have been friends.
Rosario met Salvador when she was just 19 years old and since then they have formed a long-lasting bond. However, Rosario decided to show gratitude to Salvador with a 'Jedi' home makeover with the help of the Scott brothers, Drew and Jonathan. The renovation will be featured in the upcoming episode of 'Celebrity IOU' Season 7.
Rosario Dawson teases 'Jedi' renovation for Salvador Perez
Rosario Dawson joined hands with Drew and Jonathan Scott in 'Celebrity IOU' Season 7 to give a stunning renovation to her longtime friend, Rosario Dawson. She wanted to show her immense gratitude to the person she had known since she was 19.
She planned to update Salvador's unique home that had gone by the wayside. The actress took over the smashing job and leaned on Jonathan and Drew's superpowers to create the ultimate surprise for her costume designer friend. Rosario teased the renovation and shared a teaser for the upcoming episode of the HGTV show.
In the teaser, Rosario had fun with Drew and Scott as they fought with glowing swords. They were also seen smashing the windows. Meanwhile, a voiceover said in the trailer, "Rosario Dawson joins the Scott brothers as their new apprentice, Jedi renovation and the forces strong with this home makeover."
Alongside the trailer, Rosario wrote, "Drumroll ……! Your GRRRL is on @hgtv Celebrity IOU!" She added, "Drilling a hole is boring, but fastening two pieces of metal together is riveting… 😜 (silly construction joke?)."

Salvador Perez reflects on Rosario Dawson's surprise gift
Salvador Perez seemed to be grateful for Rosario Dawson's surprise gift and he penned his gratitude in the comment section of the actress' post. He wrote, "Thank you diva!!!❤️😍🏠You did an amazing job!"
Salvador also took to his social media and reflected on the gift for a lifetime. He shared the teaser and penned in the caption, "You get very few gifts in life, Meeting @rosariodawson 20 years ago was a gift."
He continued, "We’ve had a long friendship, and she just gave me the most amazing gift of a Jedi make over on my house! with the Hotperty Brothers !!🤗💃🏻🕺🏻🏠🕺🏻🕺🏻."
