'All's Fair' Season 2 is almost here but one major character won't be returning after jaw-dropping finale
The two-part 'All's Fair' Season 1 finale arrived on Hulu in the early hours of Tuesday, December 9. And within minutes of the credits rolling, fans were already diving headfirst into speculations about what's next. The finale served up enough twists, clashes, and cliffhangers to fuel weeks of theorizing, but the biggest relief of all is that viewers don't have to worry about renewal. Hulu greenlit Season 2 early, giving fans the freedom to obsess over what comes next without fear of cancellation. The show's stars have been feeding the hype as well.

Kim Kardashian, who leads the series as powerhouse attorney Allura Grant, celebrated the finale by sharing behind-the-scenes footage from the last day of filming. Captioning her Instagram post, "Couldn't adore these ladies more. See you for season two—serving more looks, lawsuits, and legal shenanigans," she all but confirmed her return. Niecy Nash-Betts, who delivered one of the season's most emotional arcs as Emerald Greene, also appears locked in for the next chapter.
An Instagram video from her on-screen sons (Armani Barrett, Jamarcus Kilgore, and Joshua Suiter) included the teasing message, "We can't wait for you to see what's cooking for Season 2," strongly suggesting all four characters will be back. Another character whose season 2 trajectory has fans buzzing is Milan, played by Teyana Taylor. While Milan had a more understated presence in the first season than many expected, her pregnancy reveal with Chase's baby sets up major drama to come. It would be surprising, even plot impossible, for the writers to leave her out of the next chapter.
According to Just Jared, Naomi Watts, who commanded the finale as sharp-witted British attorney Liberty Ronson, is also expected to return. Liberty finally stepped into the spotlight during the last two episodes, and viewers aren't ready to let her go. Meanwhile, Sarah Paulson's performance as Carrington practically guarantees she'll be bringing more intensity, manipulation, and courtroom chaos in season 2. And of course, it wouldn't be 'All's Fair' without one of the firm's most powerful figures: Glenn Close's Dina Standish. Her storyline is far from over, making her return all but certain.
However, one major character who likely won't return is Ed O'Neill's Doug Standish. His death at the end of season 1 appears to close the chapter on Dina's husband. However, the possibility of a dream sequence or flashback cameo remains open. On the opposite end of the spectrum, signs strongly point to Matthew Noszka's return as Chase. Kim Kardashian's playful Instagram poll asking fans whether Allura and Chase should reunite in season 2 is about as close as it gets to a confirmation. As fans wait for Hulu to roll out the next batch of episodes, one thing is clear: 'All's Fair' is gearing up for a stronger, messier, and more dramatic sophomore season.
