Beloved Disney star joins Kim Kardashian in Netflix's 'The Fifth Wheel' with two more big names on board
The cast of Kim Kardashian's new Netflix comedy, 'The Fifth Wheel,' just got even bigger with the addition of three stellar actresses, including a beloved Disney star. Directed by Eva Longoria, the comedy flick is written by Paula Pell and Janine Brito. Apart from starring in the show, Kardashian is also producing the flick, and with the revelation of the new cast members, the wait for the movie is getting harder than expected.
The Disney star in discussion is Brenda Song, who, along with Nikki Glaser and Fortune Feimster, will join Kardashian in 'The Fifth Wheel', Deadline reported. Produced by Kardashian, Pell, Jessica Elbaum, Will Ferrell, Alex Brown, and others, the film follows a group of high-school best friends trying to reconnect during a Vegas weekend. However, their plan gets disrupted when a glamorous outsider, played by Kardashian, crashes the trip and forces them to confront their chaotic lives and strained friendships.
Notably, Netflix made 'The Fifth Wheel' a top priority after winning the project in a competitive 2023 auction, with buyers praising Pell's script as one of the funniest in years. Talking about Glaser, her casting comes as her popularity surges after her standout performance in Netflix's 'The Roast of Tom Brady', while Song recently appeared in the streamer's sports comedy, 'Running Point', and 'The Last Showgirl'.
Meanwhile, Feimster will be joining 'The Fifth Wheel' cast after her roles in Netflix's action-comedy series 'Fubar' and 'Zootopia 2'. Kardashian also made major news after confirming she failed her bar exam, explaining that she felt she needed to announce it herself before the news appeared online. She said she "instantly" knew she had to share the results publicly because, as she explained, "You get the results on a Friday, and I knew Sunday morning they were going to be live on the internet," as per Time.
"OK, let's do this; I know what I've got to do. This really sucks because I put so much time into it, but I know what I can do better," Kardashian said at the time. She added that she doesn't linger on setbacks, noting, "I'm pretty good at taking a failure and turning it into something, and I just don't have the time to dwell. You can feel sorry for yourself for a second, but I need to take that time and put it into studying more."
