Who is Quincy Morgan? 'RHUGT' star Sonja's daughter likes to make appearances for fashion brands
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sonja Morgan's daughter, Quincy Morgan, has always been a source of pride for her mother. The 'Real Housewives of New York City' alumna spoke candidly in an interview about a recent decision by Quincy that had Sonja concerned.
She said, 'When [Quincy] went public with Instagram [in 2021], we discussed it together. She works behind the scenes in finance, and it's very tricky to navigate Instagram,' as shared with Yahoo! News.
Sonja added, "People know me as the boozy floozy on the show, have a good time, keep the peace if you can. I do get dramatic, but usually, it's self-deprecating, or in defense of someone else. My daughter is a Libra, and she's basically a diplomat."
"I was nervous about the Instagram thing, but she's handling it really well," Sonja continued. "She actually gets booked by fashion brands to do appearances at their stores. She does a look of the day, she graduated [from the University of Pennsylvania] summa cum laude. ... She's been a straight-A student since 18 months. She couldn't walk at 18 months, but she could boss us around. ... Constantly reading books."
Quincy spoke with The Philadelphia Inquirer after receiving her diploma from the famous institution, about her future steps and whether she planned to become a full-time social media influencer.
Despite her large Instagram following, Quincy got a career in the financial department of an entertainment firm.
"I would never want to quit my day job," she explained at the time. "I don’t think content creation is my passion. I think I’m passionate about the people who follow me," Quincy said, adding that she believes her page's popularity stems from her "just dressing well."
Who is 'RHUGT' star kid Quincy Morgan's father?
From 1998 to 2006, Sonja was married to John Adams Morgan. In a 2021 episode of 'RHONY', she expressed her conflicted feelings over her divorce from the American businessman, J.P. Morgan's heir.
Sonja has worked hard to ensure that her kid never has to choose between her two parents — and keeping Quincy out of 'RHONY' was part of that decision-making process.
Sonja has stated that Quincy's knack for numbers is inherited from her father.
"The finance side, she definitely got from [her father]. She is a math wizard. She got that from the J.P. Morgan side," Sonja said to Bravo in 2019.
"But she got the humility from the John Adams side, you know, from John Adams, John Quincy Adams, and I like to think my side of the family has humility and religion.”
Where was 'RHUGT' star Sonja Morgan's daughter Quincy born?
In October 2000, Quincy was born in New York City. In a 2020 interview with Reality Blurb, Sonja revealed that Quincy was born in the Upper East Side townhouse, which she relisted for $8.75 million in July 2022 following nearly ten years of unsuccessful attempts to sell.
'RHUGT' star Sonja Morgan's daughter Quincy has artistic side to her
Quincy said that, in addition to her financial profession and social media pursuits, she is working on a young adult novel. During an interview with BravoTV.com, Sonja disclosed that Quincy has a second creative outlet.
"My daughter is also an artist, and she paints," she remarked. "My daughter just graduated from UPenn summa cum laude. I had to Google it. That means top of your class."
Quincy began painting as a toddler after a family friend exposed her to acrylics, according to her website. She keeps a second Instagram account to record her job.
Quincy's art portfolio, which she described as an "art nerd" in 2018, showcases her collection of paintings, including an exhibit named "For Years" that was presented at the New York City gallery NoMo SoHo in 2019.
Sonja gushed even more over the outstanding college graduate when she gave an update on the rest of her family.
Quincy Morgan stays away from 'RHONY'
While some of Sonja's 'RHONY' castmates have revealed their children's lives on-screen, Quincy has not.
"I knew I wanted a corporate career, and it wasn't my thing," Quincy said in an Instagram interview with S'More Date. "I’m not a public speaker. I’m not somebody who likes attention, except in my personal life."
Quincy, on the other hand, has supported her mother's career on the program, occasionally mocking some of her most memorable moments.
Quincy reenacted certain show stills in a goofy post for Mother's Day in 2020.
