Who is Justin Assada? 'Surviving Paradise' star says he lost 25 pounds owing to Netflix show's extreme diet
LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA: When model and influencer Justin Assada quit his day job to sign up for Netflix's 'Surviving Paradise', he didn't know that he would end up losing 25 pounds (11 kg) while living off the show's strict diet.
The reality show features 12 contestants drawn in by the lure of spending their time in a luxurious location and just when they have swallowed the bait they will be stripped of all their comfort and be thrown into a struggle for even the bare necessities.
At the end of their ordeal, one lucky winner will walk away from the show with a $100,000 cash prize.
According to reports, Justin had to chew down on his luck and rummage through the wilderness during the show's filming. He was left with no other choice but to sleep under the open sky and survive on a frugal diet.
Justin confessed that he had expected the show to be sort of a cakewalk and was rather taken aback when he found it to be one of the most "strenuous" things that he had ever done. The diet was so strict that the contestants would be provided with one serving of carbohydrates and protein as a ration for a whole week.
