Who is John Fuda’s ex Brittany Malsch? 'RHONJ' star opposed ex's involvement in son's life after prison
NEW JERSEY: Before sparking a romance with 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Rachel Fuda, John Fuda was previously in a relationship with a woman named Brittany Malsch. John and Brittany were together for a total of four years during the early 2000s before deciding to part ways, according to a report by The US Sun.
During their relationship, the former couple welcomed their first and only child together, son Jaiden, in the year 2007. Although they never walked down the aisle, they did get engaged two years before their romance came to an end.
During a conversation with the media outlet, Brittany stated that she tried to get sole custody of their son, but the case was dismissed after a brief “reconciliation” with Brittany. Following their official separation, John filed for sole custody of their son, and he was granted custody in 2011.
Later on, Brittany moved on in life, and welcomed another child, a baby boy, in 2012. Brittany also mentioned that she was banned from seeing her son Jaiden after her imprisonment.
"I've tried to get in touch with my son, but John won't let me. Since I've gone to prison, John has prevented me from speaking and seeing him whatsoever. This was not my choice," she told the media outlet.
Why was ‘RHONJ’ star John Fuda’s ex Brittany Malsch arrested?
Over the years, Brittany Malsch has had a criminal history. According to reports by The US Sun, Brittany's legal charges include “burglary-entering a structure, laundering $250,000 cash, and possession with intent to distribute crystal methamphetamine in the first degree.”
The burglary case indicated that Brittany was involved in stealing items from a storage unit, which resulted in her being found guilty by association. In December 2022, Brittany was sent to the Millicent Fenwick House, which is a women's institute for women who have mental health and substance abuse issues.
Since then, she has been in and out of jail. Due to the charges pressed against her, she could stay in prison until October 2024. Brittany also shared with the media outlet her intention to return to court and contest John for the opportunity to see her son Jaiden again.
John Fuda’s ex Brittany Malsch was not surprised that Rachel wanted to adopt her son
Brittany hasn't spoken to her son Jaiden since June 2018, and she alleged that her ex John doesn't want her to be a part of their son Jaden's life. She revealed that before her 2018 arrest and imprisonment, she and her son Jaiden saw each other periodically, and there were no issues between them.
Speaking about John's current wife Rachel, Brittany claimed that she only met her once when John and Rachel started dating. During an episode of 'RHONJ', Rachel stated that she doesn't have a relationship with Jaiden's birth mother.
Irrespective of that, Brittany wasn't surprised when she learned that Rachel wanted to adopt her son, considering the troubled bond between Brittany and John.
“It doesn't surprise me one bit. I knew they would, so I was expecting it. I actually predicted this would happen when I first heard about them being on the show," she said. Brittany further added, “John will take any opportunity to make himself look better by making me look worse. But I'm unfazed by what others say and think."
