Why did Jo Koy’s blast Craig Melvin?

‘Today’ Al Roker, Craig Melvin, Sheinelle Jones, and Dylan Dreyer welcomed famous comedian, Jo Koy on the morning show.

In the middle of the segment, Koy had something he wanted to get off his chest as he said, “I wanna see you guys stop eating popsicles the way you did.”

He continued reflecting on ‘Today’ hosts eating habits, “I want you to know I was up here cringing watching you guys bite popsicles”.

Evidently, the hosts had been chomping on their popsicles rather than slowly savoring them by allowing them to melt in their mouths. As all the hosts lashed out at him, Koy said, “You’re not supposed to bite the popsicle”.

When Jones asked how you are supposed to eat popsicles, Melvin chimed in and explained, “You make it soft and then bite it.” However, Koy took no time to slam Melvin as he exclaimed, “I watched him, he was the worst one!”

Melvin clapped back at Koy, adding, “You make it soft and then bite when it's a little soft, I didn't bite into a hard one!” However, Koy reiterated his playful allegation at Melvin as he said, “I saw you bite it, and it was pretty gruesome.”

Melvin concluded the segment by adding that Koy was “judgy” about the whole thing. Meanwhile, Roker seemed uncomfortable and was taken aback by the conversation.
