Who is India's ex husband? 'sMothered' star split from former health inspector after a decade of marriage

Apart from DeLeesa, India and her former partner, Abel Carrasquillo, have two more children: a son named Wayman Carrasquillo and a girl named Savanah Carrasquillo

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Season 5 star of 'sMothered,' India Carrasquillo, was married to her husband, Abel Carrasquillo, but their current relationship status is unknown. The pair celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary in August 2011.

Abel, who was born in 1995, founded Carrasquillo Food Safety Consultants and took over the company in 2019. He is a former health inspector with over 25 years of experience performing Food Sanitary Inspections, ensuring that facilities comply with New York State and New York City sanitary laws, according to his LinkedIn bio.   

Abel is New York State Department of Health Food Safety Certified, Serv Safe Certified, and holds a Master's Degree in Health Education and Promotion as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences. He is not only experienced in performing food inspections, but also in teaching food safety principles to the public and other food inspectors.

Abel is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing for optimal communication between client and consultant.     

He earned his bachelor's degree from the City University of New York's Herbert H. Lehman College. Abel graduated in 1997 with a degree in Biological Science, Health Education, and Promotion. 

India implied in an Instagram post in July 2023 that she is single. The on-screen text indicates that she hopes that even if she meets the guy she will marry, she will not stop chasing the Lord.

In addition to DeLeesa, India and her ex have a daughter called Savanah Carrasquillo. They have a son named Wayman Carrasquillo as well.

India and Trevor upset DeLeesa by going out to play bingo together and leaving her alone for hours on end in the TLC episode airing on December 26. Upon receiving a distressed call from DeLeesa asking her husband where they are, her immature mother India gives her daughter a raspberry blowout before taking Trevor's phone and ending the call.

DeLeesa and Trevor argue as a result of the circumstance, and the distraught bride queries, "Who plays bingo for seven hours?"

Trevor answers, "You're being dramatic. It hasn't been seven hours." "We've literally been here an hour."

He then tries to inform his wife that he will be gone for an additional hour, but India starts to wave a chocolate bar in his face, which he later consumes.

With his mother-in-law, India, by his side, Trevor explains, "At this point in my relationship with DeLeesa, she feels threatened."

India pushes in to interrupt her son-in-law, saying, "No, I don't think that. I think it's just jealousy because everything always has to be her. If it's not her, that's it."

It's hard to ignore Trevor and India's peculiar bond, and TLC claims that viewers will witness how intimately connected they are.

India and Trevor have been thick as thieves since they met in 2008, when Trevor first started dating India's daughter, DeLeesa, and they refer to each other as "best friends."

"[We do] everything," Trevor explained.

"Going to the movies, going to bingo, going out to eat, we match [clothes]. We get haircuts together. We don’t even think about it, it’s second nature — like, ‘I’m going to go get a haircut — Ma, are you coming?’" 

They feed from each other's mouths as well.

"I don't take the food out of her mouth, and eat it like birds," Trevor added.

"But if she’s got a piece of candy hanging there, and I want half, I’ll just bite it. For me, it’s not that awkward."

DeLeesa, India's daughter and Trevor's wife, doesn't comprehend their connection, according to India.

"She's jealous," she explained. "She's like, 'That's my mom.'"

"Nine times out of 10, we’ll match clothes," Trevor says when they go out in public.

"It’s fun. I think it’s a nice look, too. If we’re wearing matching clothes, people assume that we’re a couple, so we have to clarify, ‘No, we’re mother and son-in-law.’ It doesn’t matter, it’s whatever. It’s not up to us to manage other people’s expectations and opinions."

Internet wants 'sMothered's India to 'find a man' instead of stealing daughter's

Following the Tuesday episode, fans were left with the impression that India was prepared to jeopardize her relationship with her daughter to act improperly with her son-in-law. And he was just laughing it off like it was nothing.

They also stated that DeLeesa is deserving of much more. She had never been especially close to her mother. Her mother does not treat her the same way she treats Trevor.

On X, fans wrote, "India really needs her own man because she's way too involved in Trevor's life!" One user asked, "Where is DeLessa’s father? I bet he’s part of the reason DeLessa and India don’t get along."

Another user chimed in, "India needs a man." A fourth user wrote, "I am like in shock by the way this "Mother In Law" & Her "Daughters Husband" are trying to act like what they are doing is not like a form of cheating, I don't give af if it was my momma or not ,when she started putting her hands & mouth on mine I'd beat."

One user further noted, "India is overly obsessed and in love with Trevor and she is jealous of her daughter. It’s disgusting it’s honestly making me so uncomfortable to watch their scenes." Another angry fan wrote, "We’ve seen DeLessa on screen for all of two minutes but I’m more than ready to help her jump her mother, that woman is EVIL get behind me DeLessa."
