Ha Sungwoon has been reported to join BTS’ Jimin on his first solo OST (original soundtrack) for the highly-anticipated K-drama ‘Our Blues’. The drama first turned heads when they roped in in-real-life couple, Kim Woo-bin and Shin Min-ah. This is also Woo-bin’s first drama after he recovered from his cancer diagnosis. The rest of the cast is equally star-studded as it has melodrama favorite Han Ji-min, action star Lee Byung-hun, idol actress Uhm Junghwa and many more.

‘Our Blues’ began last week on April 9 and has already garnered a high reception and immediate success. The OST album also has the best of the best in the music industry as singers like Heize and Kim Yeon-ji have lent their voices to the K-drama. We also have aespa’s Ningning and Winter singing their first OST for the show. It looks like ‘Our Blues’ has several firsts since it is also Jimin’s first solo OST and first collaboration with his friend Ha Sungwoon.

Jimin and Sungwoon to release OST for ‘Our Blues’

On April 19, it was announced that BTS’ Jimin and Ha Sungwoon would have a special collaboration as they would be singing a duet for ‘Our Blues’. The song will be released on April 25 at 12 am KST (April 24 at 11 am ET) on all major music streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, MelOn and more. The production is excited as they shared, “Jimin's sweet tone and Ha Sungwoon's charming and enchanting voice made this song more radiant, and the fantastic harmony made it more beautiful.” They also added that the OST perfectly suited the theme of the drama.

Who is Ha Sungwoon?

Ha Sungwoon is a soloist and has released popular singles like ‘Sneakers’ and ‘Blue’. He was previously part of the huge third-gen boy group Wanna One after winning the Mnet survival show ‘Produce 101 Season 2’. He was also part of the boy group HOTSHOT which had debuted back in 2014. Sungwoon has sung several OSTs for popular dramas like ‘The King: Eternal Monarch’ and ‘True Beauty’. He is also close friends with Jimin and has shared an interest in collaborating. In fact, he had attended BTS’ latest concert in Seoul with his father where Jimin had playfully admonished him for not waving his lightstick.

Fans were happy for the duo as they made tweets like, “HE MUST BE HAPPY TO HAVE A DUET SONG WITH HIS BESTIE.” Another fan said, “I can't wait to hear their pretty voices.” One brought back the time the duo had shared they’d like to work together, “In June 2021 on Arcade Pang’s YouTube channel Ha Sungwoon, when asked about which artist he wanted to collab with answered: ‘I would collab with BTS Jimin. We already decided to do it one day.’ It’s finally here!” Another fan shared, “Jimin’s first ever ost with his bestfriend i’m gonna sob am so happy for jiminie n’ sungwoon 😭 like doing an ost with one of your closest friends n’ surely theres certainly times talkin about collaborating and now it happened omg it has to be something very precious & special.”
