As the title indicates, the new medical makeover program includes specialists such as Jason Cohen removing tumors from patients who, according to TLC, have "extreme cases."

According to TLC, Dr Jason is a surgical oncologist and general surgeon in Beverly Hills, California. He is a world-renowned expert in thyroid and parathyroid surgery.

Dr Jason received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and drawing from the State University of New York (SUNY Binghamton) before earning his MD at the SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn, where he also completed his general surgery residency.

After finishing his primary residency year at SUNY, he traveled to Los Angeles to train as a surgical oncology fellow at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Dr Jason was appointed director of the surgical oncology/breast clinic at Cedars-Sinai immediately upon the completion of his residency.

As an early user of surgical technology breakthroughs, Dr Jason seeks to use minimally invasive procedures to present his patients with a treatment choice that lowers scarring while also speeding up recovery time.

Dr Jason quickly trained and conducted robotic Da Vince thyroidectomies and parathyroidectomies, giving him the nickname "The Thyroid Guy."

Dr Jason serves on the Cedars-Sinai Medical Executive Committee as well as the Pre-Healthcare Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The program allows undergraduate and postbaccalaureate students to shadow physicians in a variety of hospital settings.

He has published for several medical publications, and his volunteer work has carried him to South America and Africa, where he worked as the Volunteer House Officer at the Mission Hospital in Kikuyu, Kenya.

As they remove tumors from patients, Drs Kimberly Moore Dalal, Jason, and Ryan F. Osborne will be taking on some of the most difficult cases of their careers.

These include a woman whose body is reportedly covered in over a thousand tumors, from her head to her toes and another woman whose tumor weighs twenty pounds and extends below her waist from the back of her neck.

According to TLC, the patients, who come from around the world, are hoping to get their life back and these surgeons are their final hope.

'Take My Tumor' will air on Wednesdays at 10 pm ET on TLC beginning April 3
