Who is David Craig? 'RHONY' Season 14 newbie Sai De Silva's husband loves his privacy
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK CITY: 'The Real Housewives Of New York City' Season 14 is going to bring stirring drama to the table with multiple new cast members joining the Bravo show. The first look promo and the official trailer for the latest season introduced fans to the six fabulous women who will be leading the franchise.
Among the leading ladies is Sai De Silva, a full-time vlogger, businesswoman, and mother. While that sounds cool on paper, balancing multiple roles at the same time could be tricky. De Silva's husband David Craig has stepped in to support his wife while staying in the background and taking care of their children.
Who is David Craig?
Originally from Canada, David turned 50 in 2023. He is currently not on any social media platform and it appears he wants to keep his life private. De Silva has shared a few photos and videos with David on her social media, but she has maintained his privacy by wittily hiding his face. According to the reports, David noted that because De Silva's job involves her being in the spotlight so much, they made a decision earlier on that he would stay in the background to show the children that social media is a job for their mother. David has not yet publicly talked about his job and career.
De Silva noted on her website 'Scout The City' that David liked his privacy and she also did not mind him not wanting to be in the spotlight. Instead, she believes that in a world where we share everything, it is nice to have something private in life. Apparently, it keeps her sane and she enjoys having a little mystery. While noting that David is very involved when it comes to his family, De Silva gushed that he should win an award for Father of the Year. De Silva is the second wife of David and he shares a 22-year-old son from his first marriage.
Together for 13 years
De Silva married David in Brooklyn in a courthouse on June 16, 2017. The two met at a swim bar. De Silva was very hung over from her night out before with the girlfriends and David was on a work trip. David and De Silva share two children - a daughter London and a son Rio. De Silva reflected on her wedding to David on her YouTube, noting how the person who got them married was 'awful'. In David's words, he was pretty smitten with De Silva right away because he thought she was the most beautiful woman he ever saw. He loved how she was so confident, funny, and most importantly, they shared similar views on all important things. Eight years into the relationship, Rio was born and they finally decided to tie the knot. They marked their 13 years since knowing each other in May 2023.
'The Real Housewives Of New York City' Season 14 will premiere on Sunday, July 16 at 9 pm ET on Bravo.
