'The Masked Singer' Season 14 Episode 2: A look at all the celebs competing in hit Fox show
There will be five new faces in episode 2 of 'The Masked Singer' Season 14. The latest edition of the hit singing show on Fox welcomed back iconic host Nick Cannon, along with the panel of judges — Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, and Rita Ora.
The premiere saw ten contestants pitted against each other in five head-to-head formats. The sing-offs included Pugcasso vs. Queen Corgi, Scarab vs. the Croissants, Galaxy Girl vs. Handyman, Googly Eyes vs. Cat Witch, and Snow Cone vs. Stingray. The unmasking saw America's insider, Kylie Cantrall, who had her Cat Witch costume on. The episode ended with Googly Eyes and the Croissants eliminated. Googly Eyes was unmasked HoF baseballer, David Ortiz. The premiere night also saw Cannon reveal the next five new contestants participating on Fear Night.
Calla Lilly, Eggplant, High Voltage, Le Who Who, and Owl were revealed to be the next batch of contestants. To add a brief description, the owl appears to be a robotic version of the bird and is teal-colored with a yellow beak. Eggplant is the same as the name, colored purple with a green stem. High Voltage appears to have borrowed some inspiration from DC's 'The Flash' with a lightning bolt on his chest and two electric plugs for his hands. Le Who Who resembles a pink bunny with giant ears and yellow flowers in them. Calla Lilly is a white flower with accents of yellow and green.
The logline for the next episode reads, "A very special guest visits the panellists... Johnny Knoxville; to receive crucial hints, the panellists must overcome their worst fears; the contestants take to the stage to share how they have faced their fears."
Earlier, a FOX spokesperson weighed in on the January release when talking to Deadline. "Debuting the new season in January is a strategic move to give ample runway for America’s favorite guessing game and allow us to creatively look at enhancing the show with the biggest names at the center of it."
'The Masked Singer' Season 14 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX, with episodes available to stream the next day on Hulu.
