UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Clayton Edward Davis of Chattanooga didn't get a single judge to turn during his audition.
Viewers of 'The Voice' Season 24 believe they know why. Clayton arrived to sing 'Sunday Morning,' but he failed to sway any of the coaches.
John Legend praised his high notes but stated it's difficult to perform an Adam Levine vocal without being compared to him.
Gwen Stefani desired "a little more dynamics" throughout the song, while Niall Horan did not have an "emotional connection" from the performance.

This new dad works in construction during the day, but he performs with his band frequently enough to know that it's what he wants to do in the long term.
Unfortunately, he selected a very trademark voice to try to imitate and couldn't quite hit Adam's ultra-high notes.
On YouTube, fans noted, "Picking Adam Levine’s song is never easy. He should have picked an easier song. But he did well."
While another user chimed in, "It was a hard song to sing, but Adam would be proud of you to sing that song."
One user felt, "The dude can sing, but he just needed more confidence in the delivery of the song."
A fourth user noted, "Hard song to sing, and he did a pretty good job. Just felt a little tentative and like he was having a hard time getting his breath."
One user wished, "His throat sounded a bit tight from nerves. I hope he comes back with a song he is really connected to."
While another person wrote, "I love the sound of his voice, but if I’m being honest, there was no connection between his voice and that song by Maroon 5!"

Clayton earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management, General, from Lee University.
He began his career as a cook and waiter at Lupi's Pizza Pies before going on to work at Home-Grown Industries of Georgia, Inc, dba Mellow Mushroom, as a server. Clayton now works as a real estate agent for Nuvision Real Estate.
'The Voice' Season 24 airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 9 pm ET on NBC.
