Who is Ally Love? ‘Today’ meteorologist Al Roker gives warm welcome to new fill-in host with a 'toast'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: During a recent ‘Today’ broadcast, meteorologist Al Roker welcomed a new fill-in host on NBC show, Ally Love as the weatherman clinked cocktails with her alongside co-host Craig Melvin.
Ally Love joins the morning show as the latest contributor to the ‘Today 3rd Hour’ segment. She reportedly joined the show admitting to being ‘nervous’ to co-host it. While she was properly welcomed by ‘Today’ hosts, it wasn’t her first appearance on this show. Love has been on the show before as a guest and correspondent.
Who is Ally Love?
Ally Love is a renowned fitness instructor, Peloton instructor, entrepreneur, and women's empowerment advocate. Her journey began with a passion for dance, but a foot injury steered her toward the fitness industry. As a certified health coach and indoor cycling instructor, she joined Peloton in 2014 and became one of its original instructors. She graduated from New World School of the Arts high school in Miami and specialized in dance. She has modeled in ads for various renowned brands such as Reebok, Victoria’s Secret, Kohl’s, Doritos, Under Armour, Self Magazine, Women’s Health Magazine, Macy’s, and Fitness Magazine. She became a global ambassador for Adidas and also hosted the Netflix competition reality show, ‘Dance 100’ in 2023.
Beyond her work with Peloton, Love is a multifaceted entrepreneur. She founded ‘Love Squad’, a women's empowerment and lifestyle brand fostering a supportive community for women to lead healthier and happier lives. She is also a model, public speaker, and media personality, sharing her expertise in fitness, wellness, and empowerment on various platforms. Her commitment to empowering others has made her a respected figure in the fitness industry and beyond. She married Andrew Haynes in August 2021 as he proposed to her on a tropical vacation to Mexico’s Riviera Maya.

‘Toasting with Ally Love’
During a recent ‘Today’ episode, Roker took to his Instagram to share the welcome greetings of the new member of the NBC show. The 68-year-old weather reporter introduced Love to ‘Today’ teams while they were discussing guest artist Renee Rapp. He said, “Good morning, Happy Friday - 3rd Hour of Today, here with Craig and our latest contributor Ally Love. What a morning you picked to start here, Ally, as we have the fantastic Renee Rapp!” Before the segment, Love also shared an Instagram Story filling in her followers with new excitement. She said, “Guest hosting on Today for the 9 AM hour! You mean a whole hour?! Yes.” She continued as she let in on her apprehensiveness, “A little nervous today! Boosting my confidence with a bold color and big smile. Did a little dance to get the blood pumping.” Later, Roker posted a series of snaps of himself, Love, and Melvin bringing together cocktails. He captioned the post, “Toasting @allymisslove with #aperolspritz for her first co-hosting gig on #3rdhourtoday @todayshow made by @todayfood head stylist, @katie.stilo and to senior producer @alliemarkowitz who helped us form The Three Amigos!”
