Who are the coolest Spider-People in ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’? Here are Top 5 members of Spider-Society
Spoilers for 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: There’s a lot to love and uncover when it comes to 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ but the one element that really stands out is the Spider-People, and yes, that includes Miles Morales. Miles was hooked on the idea of being a part of the Spider Society, and after getting a day pass, he gets a taste of what life there is like and he isn’t thrilled.
Nevertheless, Spider Society and 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ in general, see a plethora of some really cool variants of Spider-Man. While the movie has over 250 of them, and close to 95 with names only, a handful of them got screen time. We have to admit though, each Spider-Man/Woman was unique in their own way, but there were 5 in particular who were truly the coolest!
1. Spider-Punk/Hobart ‘Hobie’ Brown
Spider-Punk or as you might popularly know him, Hobie, is set to become a fan favorite after his appearance in ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’. He will do anything to save his friends but will be nonchalant about it, acting like it’s no big deal. He is truly the most disinterested variant when it comes to the Spider-Society and tries to warn Miles. He hates capitalism, is British, and is the most punk rock Spidey out there, how much cooler can one get?
2. Miles Morales
This list would simply be incomplete without the man…or the boy himself. Miles Morales has already been introduced to the audience in 2018. However, ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' sees his growth spurt physically and emotionally. Also, his sense of humor has improved a whole lot. More importantly, this time around, Miles’ character arc is one to watch, and when he escapes with 250+ Spider-People chasing after him, he truly has some of the coolest moments.
3. Spider-Man India/Pavitr Prabhakar
Pavitr Prabhakar spends his time saving his city in addition to drinking chai with his Aunty Maya, mind you, not chai tea. He also has a girlfriend named Gayatri, who he loves very much despite her father not approving. More importantly, Pavitr adds to the comedic element in ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’. If you want a tour guide for India (but in his dimension, of course), then Pavitr should be on the top of your list as he swings through the crowded country.
4. Spider-Woman/Jessica Drew
‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ had a few Spider-People that truly got enough screen time to shine through, and one of those is Jessica Drew. Spider-Woman aka Jessica was super cool with riding her motorbike, being badass, and delivering some sassy comebacks. What only made her cooler was that in ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’, she is pregnant! While Jessica did spend some time overshadowed by Miguel O’Hara, she managed to stand out of the crowd when it was needed.
5. Spider-Man 2099/Miguel O’Hara
Miguel O’Hara might be far from being cool as a cucumber in ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ but one has to admit, he has his charm. In the movie, Miguel is probably the hardest on Miles, but he has his moments too. Whether he’s chasing Miles, explaining the multiverse, or simply interacting with his fellow Spider-People, he exudes a unique charm and personality, along with his superpowers. If it weren’t for spending every day trying to prevent the multiverse from collapsing, he definitely would have been a lot cooler in ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse'.
