Connor Storrie reunites with 'Heated Rivalry' co-star for ‘SNL’ sketch and we can't stop rewatching
The weekend isn't complete without an episode of 'Saturday Night Live.' Last week, 'Heated Rivalry' actor Connor Storrie hosted the show and was reunited with his co-star from the hit HBO Max show, Hudson Williams. The latest episode included hilarious sketches and the host's iconic monologue, which almost always goes viral on social media. In his monologue, Storrie greeted the audience and said, "Now, some of you may have seen literally all of me on my show, 'Heated Rivalry.' It’s a show that’s taught a lot of people about hockey, and it’s taught a lot of straight women that their sexuality is actually gay. If you haven't seen it, it's a little spicy, but it's actually a lot more than that."
Throughout the monologue, Storrie kept cutting back to witty interludes. He also expressed his gratitude for the HBO Max show, adding that it has completely changed his life. By the time the sketch 'Fronzi' played out, Storrie was diligently portraying Ricky, who did an impression of his teacher, Mr. Fronzi, played by Marcello Hernandez. 'The Gentleman's Code' was the next sketch, and it saw Storrie disagreeing with a gentleman over a game of croquet. An attempt to redeem their honor caused the gentlemen to fight among themselves. The sketch had the audience in stitches, as even a small dog joined in.
An Ice Skating sketch, which featured Williams, Mikey Day, and Ben Marshall as three friends, unfolded on two levels. At the forefront was a couple, played by Tom Brennan and Veronica Slowikowska, trying their best to reconcile after a failed proposal. However, they were distracted by the three friends who joyously skated around them while they were trying to have a serious conversation. "Those three men are having the best time," marveled Brennan's character, Casper. Hudson Williams then made a surprise appearance and was welcomed with applause from the crowd. The sketch ended with Casper hilariously joining the group of friends on the ice rink.
In another sketch, 'Tutoring the Cool Kid,' Storrie shone as PJ while getting a math lesson from Ben Marshall's Dirkus. Impressed with Dirkus's teaching, PJ promised not to bully him at school. Dirkus celebrated this by breaking into an impromptu and embarrassing rap. Williams and Storrie then introduced Mumford & Sons, and they didn't take the stage alone. They surprised the audience as they performed "Rubber Band Man" alongside Hozier. Storrie then appeared in the final gag titled 'Stripper,' in which he was seen as a male stripper.
