The Sopranos at 25: HBO/Max kicks-off the celebrations as we remember the castmembers no longer with us

So here's what HBO and Max have in store

New York City, New York (Release): Fans of the iconic show 'The Sopranos' are in for a treat as HBO/MAX celebrates the 25th anniversary of the show and pays homage to all the members of the cast who have passed away since the show ended.

“'The Sopranos' left an indelible imprint on the global entertainment culture and was instrumental in defining HBO as the destination for groundbreaking, award-winning programming,” said Zach Enterlin, Executive VP, Brand, Content & Creative, Streaming Marketing, HBO and Max. “The many ways we will honor this 25-year milestone will allow fans to celebrate the Soprano legacy and pay tribute to the characters that have had such an enduring impact.”

So here's what HBO and Max have in store:  

MAX has launched 'The Sopranos: 25th Anniversary' collection, which includes 15 deleted scenes, three of which have never been released. It will also include over five hours of behind-the-scenes featurette content. Additionally, every season of the hit series is currently available to stream on Max.

From January 11 through February 4 Da Nico in New York City will feature a special menu featuring Sopranos-inspired dishes, such as Carmela's Baked Ziti and Satriale’s Special Caprese, for a taste of the Soprano family's world.

For one day only, on January 11, fans in New York and Los Angeles can savor the official Satriale’s pop-up, bringing the Sopranos-inspired Italian sandwich from Ggiata in LA and Regina's in NYC, right to their door, available exclusively through the delivery app, Postmates.

Max is partnering with Alamo Drafthouse to host 'Family Reunion' fan screenings in New York and Los Angeles on January 11, marking the official anniversary of 'The Sopranos' premiere. These special screenings will showcase the pilot episode, allowing fans to revisit the show's beginnings. There will also be special guest appearances, including 'Sopranos' actress Sharon Angela hosting the LA screening.

Episodes of 'The Sopranos' will be available to sample through select cable partner's free on-demand platforms. Episodes one and two from Season One will also be accessible on Max’s YouTube channel. Additionally, @TheSopranos will launch on TikTok, where fans can watch in Sopranos in :25, to relive each episode in 25 seconds.

Max is partnering with Robert Iler and Jamie-Lynn Sigler for a special 25th Anniversary edition of their podcast, Not Today, Pal. They'll reminisce about their roles as Meadow and AJ on The Sopranos and answer questions from fans. The full episode will be available on January 18 via the HBO YouTube channel and all major podcast platforms.

But as fans celebrate, let us also take the time to pay our respects to the castmembers no longer with us:

Peter Bogdanovich (Dr. Elliot Kupferberg) dies from complications arising from Parkinson's on January 6, 2022. He was 82.

Tony Sirico (Peter Paul 'Paulie Walnuts' Gualtieri) died on July 8, 2022. He was 79.

Joseph Siravo ('Johnny Boy' Soprano) died from cancer on April 11, 2021. He was 66.

John Heard (Vin Makazian) died from a heart attack on July 21, 2017. He was 71.

Frank Vincent (Phil Leotardo) died of a heart attack on September 13, 2017. He was 80.

David Margulies (Neil Mink) died of cancer on January 11, 2016. He was 78.

Robert Loggia (Feech La Manna) died from Alzheimer's-related complcations on December 4, 2015. He was 85.

Tony Lip (Carmine Lupertazzi Sr) died on January 4, 2013. He was 82.

James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano) died from a heart attack on June 19, 2013. He was 51.

Denise Borino-Quinn (Ginny Sack) died from liver cancer on October 27, 2010. She was 46.

John Costelloe (Jim 'Johnny Cakes' Witowski) died froma self-inflicted gunshot wound on December 16, 2008. He was 47. 

Nancy Marchand (Livia Soprano) died of lung cancer on June 18, 2000. She was 71.
