LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Seth Burton, former PR head for LA Clippers, stuck around for the team through challenging times before parting ways for another job opportunity.

Rich Sommer plays Seth Burton in Hulu's latest series 'Clipped'. Despite limited appearance in the series, this character leaves a lasting impression with his ethical decisions in the midst of controversial times.

'Clipped' Episode 5 showcases Shelly Sterling (Jacki Weaver) sitting down with her lawyer and a crisis manager to deal with the aftermath of a leaked tape.

To protect her reputation and her partial ownership of the Clippers, she doesn't mind announcing her divorce with Donald Sterling (Ed O'Neill).

However, before she decides to go for an interview, she pays a visit to Andy Roeser (Kelly AuCoin), former president of the LA Clippers.

Roeser calls in Seth Burton to brainstorm ideas to cleanse Donald Sterling's public image. However, when Shelly tells that Sterling won't apologize for "decades of racism", he refuses to help and walks away.

With Burton's resistance and Roeser's termination, Shelly is left with no choice but to appear before the camera.

Seth Burton joined the Clippers in 2006 as the Assistant Director of Communications and served as the Director of Communications during the 2012-13 season.

He was later promoted to the position of Vice President of Communications for LA Clippers.

In this new role, he was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Communications Department and representing the organization as the primary media contact.

In 2017, sports columnist Bill Oram tweeted that Burton left his position at LA Clippers for the same role with LAFC.

As of June 2024, Seth serves as the Senior Vice President of Communications & Content for the Los Angeles Football Club.
