CROATIA, BALKANS: 'The Challenge: USA' is returning with season 2 as more alumni from CBS TV network shows compete against each other in various extreme challenges to avoid elimination. The stakes will be high as one woman and one man will be able to claim the mantle of 'Challenge Champion' and walk away with $250,000 each from the $500,000 grand prize.

The upcoming season promises 'the fiercest competition yet' as CBS' reality titans take on veterans of MTV's 'The Challenge'. Season 2 features gruelling tasks including wrestling, trampolining on a moving 10-wheeler truck, and walking between hot air balloons meters in the air. However, ahead of Season 2 premiere, the viewers must want to know about the 'The Challenge: USA' season 1 winners Danny McCray and Sarah Lacina.

Danny McCray and Sarah Lacina bags a whopping $245,500 cash prize

In 'The Challenge: USA' season 1, each contestant was given $1000 to start. To advance into the final, the cast needed to have at least $5000. The players earned money by winning an elimination or one of the physical challenges. The competitors were randomly paired up each week by an algorithm, making strategies and alliances more complicated. However, there were 10 players who made it to the finals, but only nine contestants took part in the main final challenge where they had to conquer a mountain. All nine contestants had the money they had won in the bank. But the twist was the contestants had to complete certain tasks at checkpoints to reach the mountain top. They started off competing as teams using the algorithm used earlier in the season. At each checkpoint, the contestants had a different team member. If their teammates quit the challenge, they were eliminated as well. By the time the contestants reached the final leg of the race, they were no longer in teams and completed the race alone. Ultimately, out of the nine remaining contestants, only Danny and Sarah completed the challenge and won the title and the cash prize after the six contestants quit midway. A staggering $500,000 was divided equally between Danny and Sarah.

'Survivors' stars Danny and Sarah win the grand prize in a twist that no one saw coming at the beginning of the season. However, after winning the staggering prize, former Dallas Cowboys player Danny returned to the CBS franchise in 2023 on 'The Challenge: World Championship'. He placed second with Tori Deal, who will appear in 'The Challenge: USA' season 2. However, the NFL player, who retired long back in 2015, spends his quality time with his daughter Zoe, and his wife of four years, Kiki. Danny usually shares a sweet photo with his daughter on his wife on his social media. Meanwhile, police officer Sarah also loves to spend time and take trips around the town with her husband and eight-year-old son. Sarah also competed in 'World Championship' after winning the reality competition series. However, this time, she came fourth. When she is not promoting her appearance and the CBS show, Sarah can be found training in the gym, or making memories with her husband and eight-year-old son.
