'War of the Worlds' Season 3 continues on its steady run despite what has been a rather mixed response to the hit EPIX show. Three episodes into the new installment, the sci-fi thriller sticks to its pattern of world-building at first and then puts the characters in complete chaos. This time, the focus is on the black hole that is causing deaths after people hallucinate and see terrifying visions before kicking the bucket.

What to expect from 'War of the Worlds' Season 3 Episode 4?
Per EPIX, the logline reads, "Tom grapples with a betrayal and encounters a familiar face; Catherine looks for a solution to the dangers of the black hole." To further dissect, the episode will continue to focus on Catherine Durand's attempts to thwart the effects of the black hole, mainly the hallucinations that it causes. With people already dying, and the scientist figuring out a way to travel through time and another dimension, chances are she'll probably toggle between dimensions to get a better answer.
Emily's brother Tom meeting a familiar face might be either Gabriel Byrne's Bill Ward or Bayo Gbadamosi's Kariem who has been waiting to talk to him regarding the events of Seasons 1 and 2. At this point, the series feels like it packs on multiple storylines where the key protagonists are trying to avert one crisis by multiple means. How it pans out, in the end, remains to be seen.
