LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Golden Wedding' will be live telecasted on Thursday, January 4, 2024 on ABC at 8 pm ET. This two hour special episode is much awaited by the fans.
'The Golden Bachelor' contestant Gerry Turner, restauranter, has found the love of his life and is all set to marry Theresa Nist, in the ABC special spinoff 'The Golden Wedding'. Gerry Turner lost his first wife due to bacterial infection and Theresa lost her husband due to kidney failure. They seemed to bond well over the fact that they both lost their spouses after a long and happy married life.
This special episode will be hosted by none other than Jesse Palmer. However, there are no exact announcement of him officiating the wedding. Fans are excited to watch the live telecast of the wedding. He even announced that the couple will fly to Italy for their honeymoon.
Gerry and Theresa are not the first ones to get marrried on screen. The first 'Bachelorette' star Trista Rehn married Ryan Sutter on a three part wedding special in 2003. 'The Golden Wedding' is a spin off of 'The Golden Bachelor' where Gerry Turner, 72 found the woman of his life Theresa Nist and is all set to marry her.
Gerry Turner excited 'The Golden Bachelor' fans by proposing Theresa Nist as he stated her to be that 'one woman' whom 'he couldn't live without', and asked her 'Will you marry me?' on the seaon finale. Theresa said yes and he put the gorgeous diamond ring on her finger.
The two had a very special bonding from the first date they went to.
The Golden Bachelor star Gerry, a former restauranter who was mesmerized by Theresa broke up with Leslie Fhima, the 64 year old dance and fitness instructor, and said that they were not working out anymore.
The event would be attended by family and friends. Gerry's daughters Angie Warner, Jennifer Young and his granddaughters to be a part of the wedding. Theresa will also have her daughter Jenny and son Tommy as guests alongwith her six grandsons.
